ABC ANNOUNCES NEW THURSDAY NIGHT COMEDY BLOCK WITH
"IN THE MOTHERHOOD" AND "SAMANTHA WHO" AT 8:00 P.M. AND 8:30 P.M.

BETTER OFF TED WILL PAIR WITH SCRUBS ON WEDNESDAYS

New York, N.Y., January 26th, 2009.          ABC announces a new Thursday night comedy block, with "In the Motherhood" premiering March 26 at 8:00 p.m., paired with "Samantha Who?" at 8:30 p.m. In addition, "Better Off Ted" will premiere Wednesday, March 18 at 8:30 p.m., following "Scrubs" at 8:00 p.m.

"The Bachelor" will continue on Monday nights from 8:00-10:00 p.m., leading directly into "True Beauty," and "Ugly Betty" will return to Thursday nights at 8:00 p.m. following the run of "In the Motherhood" and "Samantha Who?"

"In the Motherhood" - Thursdays at 8:00 p.m.
Megan Mullally ("Will & Grace") and Cheryl Hines ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") come to ABC in the new comedy "In the Motherhood," which takes a look at the importance of family and friends while trying to juggle motherhood, work and love lives in an overly complicated modern world. The story focuses on Rosemary (Mullally), Jane (Hines) and Emily (Jessica St. Clair), who represent mothers we all know. Rosemary is a free-wheeling mom who plays it fast and loose when it comes to parenting her teenaged son, Luke. Married numerous times, but currently single, Rosemary lives by her own rules. Much to the amazement of the other moms, her nontraditional parenting style has yielded a son much more responsible than she. Rosemary's best friend, Jane, is a recently divorced working mother of a pre-teen, Annie, and a baby girl, Sophie, who is just trying to keep her career and home afloat. Having just returned to work after giving birth eight months ago, Jane struggles to find a happy balance - lucky for her she has her "manny," Horatio (Horatio Sanz, "Saturday Night Live"), to help out. Jane's younger sister, Emily, sees herself as the model stay-at-home-super-mom for her two young children, Esther and Bill. Emily's home is a work of art, and her kids are polite and sweet -- everything has its place in her world. Married to Jason (RonReaco Lee), Emily takes parenting as seriously as any mother could.

"In The Motherhood," based on a popular web series of the same name, will feature stories inspired by real life experiences of viewers shared through our website www.inthemotherhood.com. From play dates and daycare to stretch marks and potty training, ABC wants to hear about your poignant, hilarious, emotional and even your most banal mommy moments.

"In the Motherhood" stars Cheryl Hines as Jane, Jessica St. Clair as Emily, Horatio Sanz as Horatio, RonReaco Lee as Jason and Megan Mullally as Rosemary.

Jennifer Konner & Alexandra Rushfield ("Undeclared"), Stuart Bloomberg and David Lang are the executive producers of "In the Motherhood," which is from ABC Studios.

"Samantha Who?" - Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.
After a hit-and-run accident left Samantha Newly (Christina Applegate) in an eight-day coma, she awoke with retrograde amnesia, which allowed her to fully function in the world but left her with no personal memories of her past. As she began her quest to rediscover herself, she learned that she had been a horrible person. Vain, selfish and potentially surrounded by far more enemies than friends, she made a conscious decision to improve herself moving forward with the help of her eclectic friends and family.

"Samantha Who?" stars Christina Applegate as Samantha, Jennifer Esposito as Andrea, Kevin Dunn as Howard, Melissa McCarthy as Dena, Tim Russ as Frank with Barry Watson as Todd and Jean Smart as Regina.

"Samantha Who?" was created by Cecelia Ahern and Donald Todd. Todd, Peter Traugott and Matthew Carlson serve as executive producers. "Samantha Who?," which is filmed in Los Angeles and premiered on October 15, 2007, is from ABC Studios.

"Scrubs" - Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m.
"Scrubs" focuses on the unique point of view of Dr. John Dorian, or "J.D." (Zach Braff). After surviving his internship and residency at Sacred Heart Hospital, J.D. is now an attending physician with his own class of interns to guide and mentor. Even though J.D. has risen in the hospital ranks, he will continue to face many challenges in both his personal and professional life. Joining the rumpled J.D. at Sacred Heart Hospital are Dr. Chris Turk (Donald Faison, "Remember the Titans," "Felicity") -- J.D.'s college buddy who is part of the elite surgical group -- Turk's wife, the no-nonsense head nurse Carla Espinosa (Judy Reyes, "Oz"), as well as the beautiful, but socially awkward Dr. Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke, "Roseanne"). Former Chief of Medicine Dr. Bob Kelso (Ken Jenkins, "Courage Under Fire") now keeps a watchful eye on the hospital staff from the coffee shop. Meanwhile, the caring yet abrasive Dr. Perry Cox (John C. McGinley, "Wall Street," "Platoon") is struggling with an identity crisis as he reevaluates his career, and Neil Flynn ("Magnolia"), the hospital janitor, portrays J.D.'s nemesis, who never seems to miss an opportunity to harass his target.

"Scrubs" stars Zach Braff as J.D., Sarah Chalke as Elliot Reid, Donald Faison as Chris Turk, John C. McGinley as Dr. Perry Cox, ,Judy Reyes as Carla Espinosa, Ken Jenkins as Dr. Bob Kelso and Neil Flynn as the Janitor.

"Scrubs" is produced by ABC Studios. Bill Lawrence ("Spin City") is the executive producer and creator.

"Better Off Ted" - Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m.
"Better Off Ted" is a new office comedy about successful good guy Ted who runs Research and Development at the morally questionable Veridian Dynamics. No achievement is too far-fetched and no invention too unorthodox for Veridian. Need cow-less meat grown in a test tube? Done. Need pumpkins that also double as weapons of mass destruction? No problem. Ted's a single dad to a seven-year-old girl and he loves his job, but he's starting to take a closer look at the company's extremely dubious practices. Do you manufacture the best teeth whitener ever if it could also kill off all of the planet's fish? Probably not, but... Ted's also fighting an attraction to co-worker Linda, who enjoys small acts of rebellion against Veridian (she's secretly stealing and hoarding all the company's creamer packets). But he holds back about his true feelings. He's already had his self imposed "one office affair" with Ÿberboss Veronica. Incredibly beautiful (if seemingly devoid of conscience and emotion-free), Veronica lets nothing get in her way when it comes to serving Veridian's needs.

"Better Off Ted" stars Jay Harrington as Ted, Portia de Rossi as Veronica, Andrea Anders as Linda, Jonathan Slavin as Phil and Malcolm Barrett as Lem. Isabella Acres appears in the recurring role of Rose, Ted's daughter.

"Better Off Ted" is produced by 20th Century Fox Television. Victor Fresco ("My Name Is Earl," "Andy Richter Controls the Universe") is executive producer and creator of the series.

NBC.COM GIVES FANS 'THE OFFICE' ADDICTIONARY

Universal City, Ca., January 22nd, 2009.            NBC.com has created "The Office" Addictionary for fans who love the creative language the show employs. Users are able to submit their own words, rate and comment on others' words, submit definitions for words yet-to-be created and follow all of the activity via Twitter feed. The announcement was made by Stephen Andrade, Senior Vice President Digital Development and General Manager, NBC.com.

"The fans of 'The Office' are some of the most creative people on the web, and this new site feature has been a great way to capture all the content they were already generating in their conversations on our bulletin boards and elsewhere," said Andrade. "We hope that by putting this material in one central location on our site we will give it a whole new audience and allow fans to generate even more 'Office' related words."

The first 30 words were submitted by the show and include:

Dinkin' Flicka – A phrase akin to "that's life," uttered by Michael to Darryl in "Casino Night." Darryl explains that he taught Michael some phrases, "to help him with his interracial conversations."

Flonkerton – The national sport of Icelandic paper companies — literally "box of paper snowshoe racing" when translated to English. This game was introduced in "Office Olympics" by Jim and Pam, with Phyllis winning a gold medal.

Threat Level: Midnight – An action-packed screenplay, centering on FBI agent Michael Scarn, his incompetent sidekick, Samuel L. Chang, and his lover Catherine Zeta Jones, who join together to fight the evil Goldenface. The unfinished screenplay was discovered by Pam in "The Client" and acted out by the office, while Michael was gone.

Count Choculitis – A "medical ailment" claimed by someone in the office in "Health Care." Not to be confused with "Spontaneous Dental Hydroplosion," "Government Created Nano-Robot Infection," or "Hot Dog Fingers."

Big Tuna – The nickname given to Jim by Andy when he ate a tuna sandwich during his first day of work at the Dunder Mifflin Stamford branch in "Gay Witch Hunt." Not to be confused with "Big Turkey" — Andy's similarly derived nickname for Ryan Howard in "The Return," or "Big Haircut" — the short-lived nickname Andy bestowed upon Jim when he cut his hair short in "The Job."

William Charles Schneider – The man Creed says he transfers his debt to in "Money." Also, Creed's original identity and the real name of the actor portraying Creed on the show.

Double Jeopardy – A legal loophole, which Michael believes, allows someone to escape responsibility for a crime in "Fun Run." In this case, hitting a person (Meredith) on company property with company property (Michael's company car).

Fire Guy – The nickname Kevin gave to Ryan after he left a cheesy pita in the toaster on the "oven" setting and started a fire, in "The Fire."

Epiphery – when you realize something big. In "Ben Franklin" Michael explains that while scraping some gunk off his wall sockets with a metal fork, he got a nasty shock and when he came to he had an epiphery: life is precious.

Escape Goat – When someone's about to get into trouble for something they did, they blame it on someone else so they can escape danger the way a goat would. Michael states that he refuses to be an Escape Goat while making a YouTube video in "Product Recall."

Since the launch of the feature in November, users have added over 700 words, including:

Rid Dit Dit Di Doo - adjective, (exclamation) 1. Andy Bernard's spontaneous exclamation. 2. Nonsense words used as filler to pretend one was paying attention to a conversation.

gruntled - adjective, the opposite of "disgruntled"; happy; content

Jim Face - noun, The facial expression given by Jim Halpert to express disappointment, confusion, or surprise.

Beer - verb, To give something to somebody else. Most commonly used when the speaker is requesting materials or services from somebody else.

Lindsay Bro-Ham - noun, Word Andy used to buddy up to Oscar in a scene from the "Outburst." Derived from actress Lindsay Lohan's name.

concierge - noun, a woman who has been trained in the fine arts of fanciness and pleasure; equivalent to a geisha

LISA KUDROW, SARAH JESSICA PARKER AND SUSAN SARANDON STAR IN NBC'S 'WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?' PREMIERING APRIL 20

Burbank, Ca., January 27th, 2009.               Some of today's most-beloved and iconic celebrities including Lisa Kudrow, Sarah Jessica Parker and Susan Sarandon are set to star in NBC's new alternative series "Who Do You Think You Are?" premiering on Monday, April 20 (8-9 p.m. ET).

From executive producer Kudrow ("Friends," "The Comeback") in conjunction with her production company Is or Isn't Entertainment and the U.K.'s Wall to Wall productions, the series – an adaptation of the award-winning hit British television documentary series – will lead celebrities on a journey of self-discovery as they unearth their family trees that reveal surprising, inspiring and even tragic stories that often are linked to crucial events in American history.

Additional celebrity names will be announced shortly.

The announcement was made today by Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, NBC and Universal Media Studios.

"No other program gives this unique glimpse into the personal lives of celebrities or takes viewers on a quantum leap through history in such an entertaining way," said Telegdy. "We are thrilled to have Lisa, Susan and Sarah Jessica kick off this groundbreaking series."

"This show personalizes history and turns it into a gripping narrative," said Kudrow. "The most striking thing about the show is the realization of how connected we all are."

As each one discovers their unknown relatives – most of whom overcame hard times – the show will take the audience back into world history to expose how the lives of everyone's collective ancestors' have shaped today's world.

NBC.COM BRINGS 'HEROES' TO HABBO'S VIRTUAL WORLD

Universal City, Ca., January 27th, 2009.               NBC.com and Habbo, the largest online virtual world for teens, announced today the launch of a new, virtual 'Heroes' character, which was created by Habbo and will live on Habbo.com and 'Heroes' Evolutions, the on-air show's interactive Web site at www.nbc.com/Heroes/evolutions/.

While following directions from a mysterious virtual messenger, the new character will take the audience on an adventure as she discovers the history of 'Heroes' through a journey that travels back and forth between Habbo.com and the 'Heroes' Evolutions site.

"We're excited to work with Habbo to introduce a new character that will extend the enormously popular and Emmy® Award winning 'Heroes' interactive story beyond the official Web site on NBC.com," said Stephen Andrade, senior vice president, Digital Development and General Manager, NBC.com.

On Habbo.com, fans of the show will be able to interact with the new virtual hero through a variety of in-game activities. GOLDEN GLOBE WINNER SCOTT BAKULA IN MULTI-EPISODE ARC ON NBC'S ACTION-COMEDY SERIES 'CHUCK' THIS SPRING

Universal City, Ca., January 26th, 2009.               Golden Globe Award-winning actor Scott Bakula ("Quantum Leap") will guest star as Chuck and Ellie's (Zachary Levi and Sarah Lancaster) estranged dad on NBC's action-comedy series "Chuck" (Mondays, 8-9 p.m. ET) in a multi-episode arc scheduled for broadcast later this spring.

In the storyline, Chuck made a promise to his sister, Ellie that he was going to find their dad in time for her wedding. But when he does find him, Chuck discovers that his dad is not necessarily a guy who wants to be found. He's living in a trailer, he's disheveled, he's paranoid and he's claiming constantly that Ted Roark (guest star Chevy Chase) -- who he used to work with -- stole all his ideas from him. In addition, Ted Roark has now become a super-successful software billionaire while Chuck's dad has become an eccentric, living in the shadows.

Consistently recognized for his stellar work across a variety of media, versatile Hollywood everyman Bakula continues to remain popular among his acting peers and fans alike. On tap are a feature film, a new television series, and a couple of guest spots. He stars opposite Matt Damon in the Warner Bros film "The Informant," based on the true story of the highest-ranking corporate whistleblower in U.S. history. Helmed by Steven Soderbergh, the film will hit theaters September 2009.

Bakula will return to the small screen for the cable original series "Men of a Certain Age" in January 2010. Starring alongside him are Ray Romano and Andre Braugher. The dramedy will focus on three college buddies who are each experiencing their own form of mid-life crises.

Over the past couple of years, Bakula has been busy on the small screen and returning to his roots on the stage. Last year he starred in "Dancing in the Dark" at the famed Old Globe Theater in San Diego, and before that he finished a critically acclaimed run in Jane Anderson's "Quality of Life" at the Geffen Playhouse. His other recent theater credits include "No Strings" at UCLA's Freud Playhouse and the Tony Award-winning musical "Shenandoah" at the Ford's Theater in DC.

Bakula's recent television credits include the Emmy-winning "Boston Legal," "The New Adventures of Old Christine," Tracey Ullman's "State of the Union," and in the cable movie adaptation of Nora Robert's best selling book "Blue Smoke."

Prior to that, Bakula served a four-year charge as Captain Jonathan Archer in "Star Trek: Enterprise," the fifth installment in the "Star Trek" television franchise. For his work on "Enterprise," Bakula garnered a People's Choice Nomination for "Favorite Male Performer in a New Television Series" as Captain Archer, the physical and intensely curious leader who wasn't afraid to follow his gut.

Perhaps best known for his five-year stint on the innovative series "Quantum Leap," Bakula's performance brought him a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series, four Emmy Award nominations, three more Golden Globe Award nominations, and he was honored an unprecedented five times by the Viewers for Quality Television. Today, "Quantum Leap" remains one of the most popular series in syndication around the world.

Bakula has also won praise for his work in a variety of feature film roles, including New Line Cinema's "Life as a House," the independent film "Ghost of a Chance," 1999's Oscar-winning Best Picture "American Beauty," the supernatural thriller "Lord of Illusions," "Major League: Back to the Minors," New Line Cinema's "Mi Familia/My Family," Hollywood Pictures' "Color of Night," "A Passion to Kill," and Paramount's football comedy "Necessary Roughness." He made his feature film debut in 1990 starring opposite Kirstie Alley in Castle Rock's comedy "Sibling Rivalry" for director Carl Reiner.

QUOTABLES FROM NBC'S 'LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O'BRIEN'  January 19 – January 23

"It's 12:35 am --- so that means that in less than 12 hours Barack Obama will be sworn in as the next President. If I were you I wouldn't cheer - you'd be surprised how much President Bush can screw up in 12 hours."

"The festivities have already begun- Yesterday in Washington, Barack Obama was on hand for performances by Jon Bon Jovi, Garth Brooks, and John Mellencamp. So it really is a new era for African-Americans."

"Some people are angry that the festivities for Barack Obama's Inauguration will cost 170 million dollars. After hearing about it, Oprah said, "Don't worry, this one's on me.""

"Earlier tonight, Barack Obama hosted a dinner honoring John McCain. You can tell the dinner was to honor John McCain because it was over by 4 pm."

"At Washington's Union Station, IKEA has built a replica of the Oval Office where all the furnishings have been replaced with IKEA furniture. Experts say it finally answers the question: "What if the President was a 28-year-old divorced guy?""

"Earlier today, an illustrator from the "Washington Post" made a sketch of what Barack Obama might look like after the stress of 8 years as President. Unfortunately for Obama, he's going to look a lot like Grady from "Sanford & Son"."

"Today was President Bush's last full day in office and he called the leaders of Denmark, Italy, Russia, and South Korea to say thank you. His exact words were "Thank you for being one of the last 4 countries that will still take my call.""

"Several groups who support the legalization of marijuana say they plan to come to Barack Obama's inauguration to protest harsh marijuana laws. The marijuana supporters are expected to arrive in Washington sometime in late February."

"A lot of big celebrities are attending the inauguration, including Star Jones - It was reported today that Star Jones has a new boyfriend who's a chef. Call me a romantic, but I think this one has a chance."

"Whole country was riveted by Barack Obama's inauguration, two-million people attended; I don't think America's this excited since they've been able to put cheese in Pizza Crust."

"Some people along Barack Obama's inaugural parade route got bored waiting for it to start – so they started doing the Electric Slide. Apparently, the best way to celebrate our first black President is to do the whitest dance imaginable."

"All the living ex-presidents attended the swearing-in ceremony, but Bill Clinton got the biggest response from the crowd. Apparently thousands of women yelled, "That's him officer.""

"When Barack Obama took his oath of office, both he – and Chief Justice Roberts – stumbled on some of the words. And so, as set forth in the Constitution, they were forced to make out for 5 seconds."

"It was very cold today in Washington. In fact, with the wind chill, President Bush's approval rating reached minus 13."

"During NBC's coverage, Brian Williams said that the Inauguration is like the Super Bowl. The only difference is that the New York Jets had a chance to go to the inauguration."

"Officials at the White House say that President Bush completed his last bit of official business in the Oval Office at 6 am this morning. Bush says it should take Obama weeks to find where he hid the dead fish."

"Because it's so hard to get around in Washington, many high profile reporters had to sleep over last night in their newsrooms. In fact there was an adorable moment around 3 am when Larry King spooned Wolf Blitzer."

"Pepsi promoted themselves during the inauguration by handing out scarves and hats that say "Hope" on them. Actually, they say "hope" on one side – and "Coke sucks" on the other."

"People who went to elementary school with Barack Obama say that they remember him as a chubby boy named Barry. And even as we speak, those people's tax returns are being audited."

"Star Jones is in Washington for the festivities, and she says that at the inauguration, "she was filled with joy." Technically, she was filled with "almond joy.""

"The party's over – millions of people trying to leave Washington - So many people are trying to leave Washington, D.C., today that all the Amtrak trains are sold out. Apparently, Barack Obama can work miracles."

"This morning, Barack Obama entered the Oval Office for the first time as President and he spent 10 minutes alone. Which shows you how things have changed, when President Bush spent 10 minutes alone in the Oval Office it was called a "Time Out"."

"Yesterday in San Francisco, someone replaced all the street signs on "Bush" Street with signs that say "Obama" Street. Locals say that it doesn't really matter because every street in San Francisco goes both ways."

"As one of his first official acts as President, Barack Obama had an emergency meeting with his top economic advisors. Apparently it didn't go well because after the meeting Obama sold North & South Dakota."

"President Bush is back home - Yesterday when President Bush returned to Texas people who were there to greet him were holding up signs that said, "You Made Us So Proud." Afterwards the people admitted that the store was out of "You Totally Embarrassed Us Signs"."

"Yesterday at Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony he was sworn in on an old bible used by Abraham Lincoln. The surprising part is Lincoln checked the bible out of a library and there are $73,000 in late fees."

"Today was Joe Biden's first full day as Vice President. Advisors say Biden spent most of the day watering his hair."

"Yesterday, vendors along the parade route were selling binoculars that they called "Barackulars." Even worse, the Sham Wow guy was selling "Sham Wow-bamas.""

"Warner Brothers announced that it is outsourcing several hundred jobs to India. Which explains why in the next Batman movie, the Batmobile is a bus with 400 people hanging off the side."

"In North Carolina, Celine Dion had to postpone a concert after the governor declared a state of emergency. Apparently the emergency was that Celine Dion was about to perform a concert."

"In a recent interview, Paula Abdul said she's like a phoenix rising from the ashes. Then Abdul admitted she woke up that morning in her fireplace."

"Today, President Obama signed the order to close the prison at Guantanamo Bay. And, in the spirit of ending torture, Obama also ended the New Kids on the Block tour."

"Earlier today, President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton all appeared together at a press conference. There was an awkward moment – when both men realized they were wearing the same suit… as Hillary."

"President Obama's Chief of Staff has ordered federal agencies to freeze funding on a lot of projects that President Bush tried to push through in his final days. So for now – The National Scooby Doo Museum remains a distant dream."

"Shortly after his inauguration Barack Obama spoke on the phone to the leader of the Palestinians and the leader of the Israelis. Both men started their call by asking Obama: "Hey, what was the deal with Aretha Franklin's hat?"

"The New York Jets' new coach Rex Ryan says that the Jets will go to the SuperBowl soon. Ryan says he's sure the Jets are going to the SuperBowl, but he's not sure where their seats will be."

"In a recent interview, Larry King said that he was thrilled to see the first African-American become president. King says it's almost as exciting as when he saw the first fish evolve into a lizard."

"Speaking of evolution - This week, members of the Texas Public School Board are debating how evolution should be treated in science class. For instance – should they call it "the theory of evolution" – or should they call it "the lie that makes God cry"?"

"Two big entertainment stories today - the Oscar nominations came out and the stars of "Sex and the City" finally agreed to do a 2nd movie. In other words, it's a great day to be gay."

"Experts just announced it was a flock of geese that caused that plane to land in the Hudson River last week. Not only that, the experts say that it was a Flock of Seagulls that caused the '80's to suck."

"Paula Abdul has begun selling a line of women's handbags on the Home Shopping Network. That's right ladies – with the new Paula Abdul handbag – you'll never misplace your flask or pills again."

"A restaurant in Denver is having a contest to see who can eat a seven-pound burrito. Right now, the smart money is on a guy named "Diarrhea Joe.""

Los Angeles, Ca., January 23rd, 2009.               Teens are cleaning their closets—and it’s not because their mom asked them to do it.  NYC-based teen retailer Aéropostale and teen not-for-profit DoSomething.org announced their second annual Teens for Jeans campaign today.  The campaign aims to raise awareness on the growing number of homeless teens in the United States and Canada by empowering teens nationwide to collect jeans for homeless youth.

Last year, the campaign which is organized by Aéropostale and DoSomething.org collected over 125,000 pairs of jeans in just two weeks. This year the campaign will run for 4 weeks, from January 26th through February 22nd.

Teen favorite Chace Crawford (GOSSIP GIRL) stars in the PSA campaign which encourages teens to take action in their communities. “Right now one in three homeless people in the US are under the age of 18. Let’s Do Something about it. This year, we want to collect over 200,000 pairs of jeans,” says Crawford. You can view his PSA at TeensforJeans.com.

Joining Chace to lend their help in raising awareness are David Archuleta, Eva Amurri, Shailene Woodley and many others.

“We’re excited to be partnering with DoSomething.org on Teens for Jeans again,” says Scott Birnbaum, Senior Vice President, Marketing at Aéropostale. “As a teenage brand, teen homelessness is an issue that’s very near to us and by mobilizing our customer base we can really make a difference.”

Starting Monday, January 26th until Sunday, February 22nd, people are encouraged to bring in any brand of their gently worn jeans to any Aéropostale store in the U.S. and Canada. Aéropostale and DoSomething.org will make sure the jeans are donated to one of the 500 local youth shelters that have been selected as partners. As an extra incentive for those who donate, Aéropostale will give an additional 25% off a new pair of jeans, though no purchase is necessary.

DoSomething.org believes that service is all about action. We’re not selling them a rubber bracelet or special t-shirt. We want kids to give something precious up: their jeans!” says Nancy Lublin, CEO of Do Something.

In addition to getting customers involved in stores, Aéropostale and DoSomething.org are encouraging teenagers in their local high schools and colleges to coordinate Teens for Jeans school drives. To be a ‘Teens for Jeans’ school ambassador and start their own drive they can sign up at TeensforJeans.com and receive a special Teens for Jeans action kit to help them get started. Over 1,000 teens have registered to be ambassadors.
