Additional performers and presenters to be announced.

Chicago native Jennifer Hudson and her RIAA-certified Gold self-titled debut album recently received four Grammy Award nominations. Hudson’s eponymous debut entered Billboard’s Top 200 at No. 2 and marked the biggest first week sales for an R&B female entry since 2004. The follow-up to her smash hit single “Spotlight” is the beautiful mid-tempo “If This Isn’t Love.” Hudson received two NAACP Image Award nominations this year for her role in “The Secret Life of Bees” and six nods for her album “Jennifer Hudson.”

London-born singer Seal first emerged from Britain’s house music scene in the early 1990s. After his single “Crazy” debuted in the Top Ten, Seal went on to earn critical acclaim and worldwide commercial success with his next four albums. His soaring baritone has become a signature with such hits as “Prayer for the Dying,” “Kiss from a Rose” and “Don’t Cry.” Seal recently released his sixth album, “Soul,” a collection of the all-time greatest soul classics produced by music legend David Foster.

ABC ANNOUNCES NEW COMEDY, "SURVIVING SUBURBIA," TO PREMIERE MONDAY, APRIL 6

New York, N.Y.,  February 04, 2009.            In the family-centered tradition of "Roseanne" and "Home Improvement," "Surviving Suburbia" opens the curtain to follow Bob Saget ("How I Met Your Mother," "Full House") and Cynthia Stevenson ("Men in Trees," "Dead Like Me") as Steve and Anne Patterson, a seemingly normal couple who have been married for 20 years, have two children and a cookie cutter house in the idyllic suburbs. But Steve maintains a rather cynical point of view on family, friends, neighbors, society, pretty much everyone and everything, as he tries to survive suburban life. "Surviving Suburbia" takes a contemporary look at family life and the reasons one might have to question the system -- How does exchanging keys with a neighbor for emergencies result in house sitting? Why do kids' classroom projects inevitably become the parents' responsibility? When did we start needing mediators to handle disagreements between adults? - all of which goes to prove that it's never just another sunny day in the suburbs.

Also starring in the half-hour comedy series are Jared Kusnitz ("Otis," "Dance of the Dead") and G Hannelius ("Interrogation") as the Patterson kids. Jere Burns ("Good Morning Miami," "Something So Right") and Dan Cortese ("What I Like About You") are recurring guest stars.

DAYTIME DRAMA STAR GRANT ALEKSANDER RESURRECTS HIS ROLE AS PHILLIP SPAULDING ON "GUIDING LIGHT," MONDAY, FEB. 9

New York, N.Y.,  February 3rd, 2009.          In the land of daytime dramas when you are shot "dead," there's a good possibility that you might turn up again years later.  Such is the case of Phillip Spaulding (Grant Aleksander), who was shot by his father Alan (Ron Raines) in 2004.  On Monday, Feb. 9 (check local listings), Aleksander will return to GUIDING LIGHT after a five-year hiatus from the show, and shake up the town of Springfield.  Phillip was presumed dead after the shooting, though most of Springfield discovered sometime later he had survived, only to be hidden away by his father.  Now they are in for another shock when he makes a sudden, surprise return to town.

Phillip comes home to Springfield when he learns his daughter's ex-boyfriend is looking for him, and stumbles upon the wedding ceremony of his ex-wife, Beth (Beth Chamberlin), who is about to marry his father, Alan.  The dramatic turn of events will have a profound impact on the lives of everyone involved.

A native of Baltimore, Aleksander played the role of Phillip Spaulding from 1983 to 1993, and then again from 1996 to 2004.  He recently made a guest appearance in "Life on Mars" and has appeared on "All My Children."  He has also directed episodes of "As The World Turns."

NBC SELLS OUT SUPER BOWL & SETS NEW RECORD

New York, N.Y.,  January 31st, 2009.            Super Bowl XLIII on NBC is sold out. NBC has sold all game advertising for tomorrow's broadcast of Super Bowl XLIII and set a Super Bowl record of $206 million in advertising revenue, NBC Universal President and CEO Jeff Zucker announced today. NBC's $261 million in revenue for the full Super Bowl day, especially impressive in the current economic downturn, also sets a new Super Bowl milestone.

"These advertising milestones show the power of the NFL brand and the strength of the Super Bowl as a TV property in this economic climate," said Zucker. "The Super Bowl has become one of our country's biggest holidays, a uniquely American day, and advertisers recognized the value in being a part of it, as their commercials are nearly as big a part of the day as the football itself. This is an extraordinary story for NBC against the backdrop of this economy."

"The plan to aggressively sell the majority of our advertising early in the process at the record unit price of $3 million showed tremendous foresight," said Dick Ebersol, Chairman, NBC Universal Sports & Olympics. "To finish selling out the Super Bowl in these last two weeks, in this economy and at record levels, is a testament to the dogged determination of Seth Winter [SVP, Sales & Marketing, NBC Sports]."

A total of 32 advertisers have taken time in Super Bowl XLIII across a broad spectrum of categories.

Fans of the advertisements featured in this Sunday's Super Bowl will be able to view those ads almost immediately after they air, on popular websites NBC.com, Hulu.com and Superbowl.com. In addition, users will be able to post their favorite ads on a blog or webpage through both the NBC.com and Hulu.com widget applications.

NBC.COM'S MOBILE INITIATIVES POST EXPLOSIVE GROWTH

Universal City, Ca.,  January 28th, 2009.             NBC.com today announced record-breaking traffic to its mobile sites in 2008. NBC.com's many innovative firsts – streaming full episodes on a broadcast network's mobile site and platforms tailored to smart phones such as Apple's iPhone – drove total page views to 31 million for 2008, up from one million for the year prior. The announcement was made by Vivi Zigler, President, NBC Universal Digital Entertainment.

"NBC.com's leadership in the mobile space paid off in '08," said Zigler. "We believe in giving users entertaining content that is easily accessible and these numbers validate that strategy."

A combination of new functionality and compelling content drove growth for the year. Among them – the introduction of ad supported full episodes - in particular proved popular, making up the majority of the more than 2.5 million mobile videos streamed in 2008; interactive SMS features for programs such as "Heroes" and the "Biggest Loser" made important inroads in the convergence between mobile, online, and on-air entertainment; adapting content to harness the unique capabilities of smart phones such as touch screens and accelerometers; making online social networking features available on mobile devices; and providing regular digital content such as photos, schedules, and episode recaps in accessible, straightforward show sites.

These features are proving popular with other groups as well - NBC.com's mobile features have won awards such as the Mobile Entertainment Webby for the "Heroes" mobile site.

2009 will bring even more mobile innovation from NBC.com. iPhone apps from "The Office" and "Heroes" launch soon, as will user blogs and advanced commenting. NBC.com recently bucked industry trends by developing in-house mobile publishing platforms that allow NBC.com to simultaneously publish across disparate media, including online and mobile, and eventually internet connected televisions.

Mobile traffic highlights from 2008 include:

--Mobile traffic reached 4.2 million page views in December '08, an increase of twelve times the amount delivered in December '07. In '08, traffic totaled 32.9 million page views.

--Mobile page views experienced a 60% increase from Q3 (9.5 million) to Q4 (15.1 million) in 2008.

--A total of 1.8 million mobile video streams were generated during the fall season (September – December '08), 1.3 million of those were full episodes and 520,000 short video streams.

--Page views via the iPhone reached 6.7 million and uniques registered 900,000 during the fall season (September – December '08).

--Top five shows by pageviews - "Heroes," "The Office," "SNL," "Deal or No Deal" and "30 Rock"

--Top five shows by full episode streams - "Heroes," "The Office," "SNL," "Knight Rider" and "Lipstick Jungle"

ABC NEWS TO REPORT "AFGHANISTAN: WHERE THINGS STAND", FEATURING EXCLUSIVE REPORTING BY ABC NEWS' MARTHA RADDATZ AND THE RESULTS OF A NATIONAL OPINION POLL OF AFGHANS

New York, N.Y., February 3rd, 2009.              With mounting violence, a resurgent Taliban and a major influx of U.S. troops ahead, the war in Afghanistan is perhaps the biggest foreign policy challenge facing the United States today. Beyond the growing U.S. military presence there, how are the country and the Afghan people faring more than seven years after the fall of the Taliban? For an in-depth assessment, ABC News' broadcasts and platforms will feature "Afghanistan: Where Things Stand," the latest installment in its division-wide series, beginning Sunday, February 8. A central component will be an exclusive, scientific national poll of more than 1,500 Afghans sponsored by ABC News, the BBC and German network ARD.

The series will include reports from Martha Raddatz, ABC News' Senior Foreign Affairs Correspondent, who was in Afghanistan when U.S. troops began arriving recently as part of the surge of U.S. forces there. Embedded for part of the trip with U.S. forces outside of Kabul, Raddatz spoke with troops and their commanders about the critical tests facing the United States, as well as the diplomatic and military challenges confronting the Obama administration. She also participated in the polling process as Afghans assessed their living conditions, and reported their attitudes about the Karzai government, the Taliban, the United States and more.

The survey, with field work by the Afghan Center for Socio-Economic and Opinion Research, is ABC's fourth in Afghanistan, allowing the network to track changes in public attitudes as they've evolved. This year's results find dramatic changes in Afghan public opinion in the face of widespread violence, struggling development efforts and broad corruption.

Raddatz's reporting will be featured the week of February 8 across ABC News' broadcasts and platforms. Results of the survey and extensive analysis from ABC News' Polling Unit will be available on Monday, February 9 at 6:00 a.m., ET on ABCNEWS.com.

The poll, the News division's most comprehensive to date in Afghanistan, was conducted via face-to-face interviews with 1,534 randomly selected Afghan adults in all 34 of the country's provinces. Individuals were interviewed about a range of topics - security, violence, economic concerns, availability of food and fuel, views of the U.S. and its allies, the cultivation of opium poppy and women's rights, among other issues.

In 2005, the first ABC News "Afghanistan: Where Things Stand" poll, in conjunction with an ABC News poll in Iraq, was recognized with the University of Iowa/Gallup Award for Excellent Journalism Using Polls and the 2005 National Council on Public Polls Excellence in Media
Coverage of Polls Award. It was first news-sponsored survey ever done in Afghanistan.

"The 19th class of fellows marks the company's continued involvement in developing skills for the next generation of writers," added Tim McNeal, vice president, Talent Development & Diversity, Disney/ABC Television Group. "We truly believe our program provides the best point of entry for new writers looking to break into television."

Kim Myers, director of WGAW, added: "The WGAW has a long and productive history with the Disney-ABC Writing Fellowship Program. Many successful WGA members began their careers as Disney writing fellows and continue to support the program as mentors. Here at the Guild, we look forward to meeting and working with the newest group of incoming writers in their fellowship year, and we hope to see them become a part of the next generation of WGA members."

Selected from more than 1,300 applicants, the eight new fellows join an impressive alumni group that numbers over 200 participants since 1990. The industry-leading writing program gives participants the opportunity to hone their craft and jump-start their careers through intensive workshops, seminars and personalized mentoring with creative executives from ABC Entertainment Group, Disney Channel, ABC Family and the Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production.

The intensive training program also is set up to provide each of the writing fellows with the opportunity to be staffed on a Disney/ABC Television Group series during the term of the fellowship. In 2008, writing fellows was staffed on such series as ABC's "Brother's & Sisters," "Ugly Betty" and "Samantha Who?," ABC Family's "Greek" and Disney Channel's "Zeke & Luther."

The class of 2009 joins a roster that spans television and film with their successes. A small sampling of alumni now advancing in their careers includes: Matthew Whitney (08), who is currently penning his third episode for ABC Family's "Greek"; Bryan Oh (07), who, since completing the fellowship, has written two segments of ABC Family's "Samurai Girl" and is currently executive story editor on ABC's "Life on Mars," having penned the episode "The Real Adventures of Sam Tyler"; Jason Gavin ('06), who staffed as a fellow on ABC's "According to Jim"; Cassandra Taylor ('06) and Charley Dane ('06), who staffed as fellows on ABC Family's "Kyle XY"; Anthony Sparks ('06), who staffed as a fellow on ABC Family's "Lincoln Heights"; and Sal Calleros ('06), who staffed as a fellow on ABC Family's "Three Moons Over Milford."

The Disney/ABC Television Group strives to create quality content that represents the rich diversity of their audiences, including race, culture and gender, as well as a diversity of ideas, experiences and histories. ABC's commitment to discovering and nurturing diverse talent, both on- and off-camera, is exemplified through a variety of industry-leading talent development programs. In addition to the Disney ABC Writing Fellowship Program, other programs include the Walt Disney Studios Writing Fellowship, ABC-DGA Directing Fellowship, the ABC Casting Project, the Summer Television & Film Workshop at the Institute of American Indian Arts and the ABC/ABC Studios Production Associates Program.

2009 Disney ABC Writing Fellows:

Lana Cho
A native of Southern California, Lana Cho overcame her parents' best efforts to convince her to pursue medicine or law. Instead she gravitated towards the arts at a young age and eventually set her sights on learning more about writing for television. Since graduating from the University of Southern California's School of Cinema with a Bachelor of Arts in cinema production, Lana has worked as an assistant in television development at the Kennedy/Marshall Company, Warner Bros. Television and The WB. Most recently she was the assistant to the head of Current Programming at The CW Network. Lana also served on the Board of the Junior Hollywood, Radio and Television Society (JHRTS).

Michael Cinquemani
Michael J. Cinquemani has had what he describes as a love affair with television ever since he was a young boy growing up in Massapequa, New York. He graduated magna cum laude/Phi Beta Kappa from Binghamton University in New York with a major in literature and creative writing and a minor in cinema. Now with a Daytime Emmy® Award nomination for his work on ABC's "General Hospital" and several produced daytime television scripts on his resume, Michael is excited to make the transition into primetime television. His credits include staff positions on "General Hospital" and the cable series "First Wave." Additionally he has written freelance scripts for series such as ABC's "All My Children" and SOAPnet's "General Hospital: Night Shift." An active WGA member, Michael currently serves on the Guild's Gay and Lesbian Writers' Committee.

Lourdes Diaz
While growing up, Lourdes Diaz was drawn to television because the medium's storytelling exposed her to a world of possibilities she had thought unobtainable. After high school, she held down a full-time job during the day and spent her evenings at California State University, Northridge, where she earned a Bachelor's in English literature. Shortly after graduating, she landed a production assistant position at The Walt Disney Company, working on the animated sequel "Lilo and Stitch2: Stitch Had a Glitch." Additional experience includes assistant for a Touchstone Television joint venture with the Slamdance Film Festival and an agent's assistant at Creative Artists Agency (CAA).

Shalisha Francis
Shalisha Francis was raised in Berrien Springs, Michigan, a quaint village on the southwest corner of the state with a population of about 2000. With education a top priority in the Francis household, Shalisha excelled in many disciplines and ultimately was accepted to Princeton University when she was only 16. While there she studied comparative literature and pre-law. After completing her undergraduate work, Shalisha earned her Juris Doctor from Duke Law School. She worked in law-oriented positions at such companies as Lucas Film LTD, Buena Vista and Warner Bros. Records before pursuing her dream of being a television writer.

Marqui Jackson
As a child, Marqui Jackson often retreated to the family's television set, where he immersed himself in what was portrayed as the ideal American family. He was drawn to such classic comedy series as "The Donna Reed Show" and "Make Room for Daddy," as the traditional family dynamics and characters deeply resonated with him. These shows also enticed the Fort Worth native to learn more about the art of television writing. After high school, he attended DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in communications. He later earned a Master's in media arts from Texas Christian University. After graduation, Marqui relocated to Los Angeles and, ironically, landed one of his first jobs in television on a family comedy called "Happy Family." Most recently he held the position of assistant to the executive producer of ABC's "Ugly Betty."

Dan Richter
Dan Richter was raised in the antique-and-arts community of Greene, New York. Starting as a voice major at Fredonia State University, he realized he was more interested in studying the human condition and switched his major to sociology. Outgoing and personable, Dan worked as a traveling leadership consultant for his fraternity and earned a Master's in education from Indiana University. Most recently he was Assistant Director of Sorority and Fraternity Life at Emory University in Atlanta, where he coordinated leadership education and risk management programming for Emory's 26 chapters.

Mark Valadez
Mark Valadez was born and raised in the cultural melting pot of Chicago. The son of a steelworker who later became a police officer, Mark flirted with the idea of a career in law enforcement, going so far as to interview with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms before deciding to pursue a writing career. He studied communications at Northern Illinois University, where he adapted Stephen King's short story, "Popsy," for a graphic novel/horror anthology entitled "Masques." Since then he has scripted three comic-book series and published four children's horror-suspense novels. He recently completed the National Hispanic Media Coalition's 2008 Fall Latino Television Writers Program.

Thomas Wong
A native of Denver, Thomas Wong disappointed his strict, traditional parents at an early age when he told them he would never become a doctor because he didn't wish to be in school for so long. After making the Dean's List and earning a degree in English, cum laude, at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, Thomas earned his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law. However, following two-and-a-half years of employment, labor and commercial litigation at top New York law firms, he left his legal practice and transitioned into the competitive, fast-paced world of Manhattan real estate. After several years as one of Manhattan's top sales agents, Thomas finally decided to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a television writer. He recently relocated to Los Angeles, where he promptly enrolled in writing courses at UCLA and landed an internship at Adelstein Productions.

SNL ANNOUNCES FEBRUARY LINEUP; FEATURES VALENTINE'S DAY SPECTACULAR

New York, N.Y., February 3rd, 2009.              "Saturday Night Live" will present back-to-back shows to open the month of February, featuring "He's Just Not That Into You" co-star Bradley Cooper as host February 7, along with musical guest New York-based soul rock band, TV On The Radio.

Emmy-Award winner and 14th-time SNL host, Alec Baldwin, will do the honors Valentine's Day. Jonas Brothers, the 2008 American Music Award winner for "breakthrough artist", will be the evening's musical guest.

Bradley Cooper can be seen starring opposite Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Connelly, and Jennifer Aniston in the romantic comedy "He's Just Not That Into You". He can also be seen opposite Jim Carrey in the comedy "Yes Man." Cooper has a wide array of film credits to his name, including the romantic comedy "Failure to Launch" opposite Matthew McConaughey and Sarah Jessica Parker, "Wedding Crashers" opposite Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, and cult favorite "Wet Hot American Summer" opposite Janeane Garofalo, Molly Shannon and Paul Rudd. His stage credits include the Broadway production of "Three Days Of Rain" opposite Julia Roberts and Paul Rudd, and the critically acclaimed Theresa Rebeck play "The Understudy," which premiered at the Williamstown Theatre Festival to rave reviews and sold out performances. With back-to-back features on the horizon Bradley Cooper just finished production on the comedy "The Hangover," which is slotted for a Summer 2009 release. He can next be seen in "All about Steve" starring opposite Sandra Bullock and in the thriller "Case 39" opposite Renee Zellweger.

Joining Cooper is the Indie rock quintet TV On The Radio. Their latest album, "Dear Science", has received critical acclaim and was named the best album of 2008 according to Rolling Stone, Spin Magazine, The Guardian, Entertainment Weekly, MTV, and Pitchfork Readers Poll. According to Rolling Stone, "the year's finest rock album was also the one that sounded the most like America in 2008… they greeted the historical moment with awe- and responded with art-rock party music." With the success of the album, GQ Magazine named TV On The Radio as the Breakout Band of the Year. Originally from Brooklyn, Blender Magazine says that they are "the coolest band in NYC." The band's 2006's "Return to Cookie Mountain" was also named Spin Magazine's Album of the Year. TV On The Radio has a unique sound, which is described by Entertainment Weekly as "swirling eddy of broken-down doo-wop, shivery post-punk, funk, and rock which feels like a bridge from the past to a sonic future."

Alec Baldwin has won an Emmy Award, two Golden Globe Awards, three SAG Awards and a Television Critics Association Award for his hilarious turn on NBC's hit show "30 Rock". He has been heralded by Entertainment Weekly as a "comic genius" and is one of Hollywood's most charismatic and prolific actors – both on stage and in film. He will next star in "Lymelife," opposite Jennifer Jason Leigh, Timothy Hutton, Cynthia Nixon and Rory Culkin and in "My Sisters Keeper," opposite Cameron Diaz, Joan Cusack and Abigail Breslin. Baldwin garnered a 2004 Academy Award nomination for his role in "The Cooler" opposite William H. Macy and won rave reviews for his performances in several other films including Martin Scorsese's "The Departed" and "The Aviator". Other film credits include "The Good Shepherd", "The Hunt for Red October," "Miami Blues," "Prelude To A Kiss," "Malice," "The Shadow," "Glengarry Glen Ross," "Heaven's Prisoners," "Ghosts of Mississippi," "The Edge," "Pearl Harbor" and "The Cat in the Hat." Among his many stage credits, Baldwin won acclaim and a Tony nomination for his work opposite Jessica Lange in "A Streetcar Named Desire," which also garnered him an Emmy nomination for the television adaptation. Baldwin has made his mark in the entertainment business not only as an actor but also as a producer. Baldwin's production company, El Dorado Pictures, co-produced the Emmy-nominated miniseries "Nuremberg" and the feature film "State and Main."

Joining Baldwin and making their "SNL" debut is the pop culture phenomenon, Jonas Brothers. The multi-platinum selling musicians and songwriters were recently nominated for their first Grammy for Best New Artist, and have already won an American Music Award and six Teen Choice Awards. In 2008, Jonas Brothers sold over one million concert tickets between their "Look You in the Eyes" and "Burning Up" tours, the latter of which was documented for the band's first big screen movie, "Jonas Brothers; the 3D Movie Experience" set to premier in theaters February 27. The film captures the excitement of their live show, with a private look behind the scenes, as well as a glimpse of the manic hysteria and devotion of their fans. Also In 2008, Jonas Brothers made history by being the only band to ever hold three titles in the top ten album chart in Billboard, released a # 1 selling book, had the biggest selling Rolling Stone cover of the year, had the largest ratings for a non-sequel TV movie premier on Disney Channel with "Camp Rock," and began production on their own Disney Channel television show, "JONAS." 2009 is off to a fast paced start as well. Jonas Brothers are performing on this year's Grammy Telecast, and will be featured on Barbara Walter's Oscar Special.

THE CREW OF US AIRWAYS "MIRACLE ON THE HUDSON" FLIGHT 1549 TO VISIT "THE LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN," TUESDAY, FEB. 10

New York, N.Y., February 2nd, 2009.              The crew of US Airways Flight 1549, who safely crash-landed their plane in the Hudson River and saved the lives of all 155 passengers, talk about their harrowing and heroic experience when they visit the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Tuesday, Feb. 10 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.  This will be their first late night talk show appearance since the accident.

Moments after takeoff from LaGuardia Airport, Capt. Chesley Sullenberger, First Officer Jeffrey B. Skiles, and flight attendants Donna Dent, Doreen Welsh and Sheila Dail were faced with an emergency situation when Capt. Sullenberger reported a 'double bird strike' over the Bronx, resulting in a loss of power in both engines.  Without enough time to return to LaGuardia, Capt. Sullenberger and his crew managed to land the Airbus A320 smoothly in the icy waters of the Hudson and, with the help of New York City emergency services, rescued all 155 passengers on board.  It is believed that the plane hit a flock of birds after it left LaGuardia, and the National Transportation Safety Board is continuing its investigation into the incident.

QUOTABLES FROM 'SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE'S' 'WEEKEND UPDATE WITH SETH MEYERS'

JANUARY 31, 2009

"WEEKEND UPDATE" ANCHOR SETH MEYERS - "The Illinois state legislature on Thursday voted unanimously to remove Governor Rod Blagojevich from office and barred him from ever holding public office in the state again. When informed of his impeachment Blagojevich was so stunned his hair stood on end, killing six people in the office above."

MEYERS - "In an interview with Al Arabiya, an Arab language news channel, President Obama said that he wanted to persuade Muslims that "the Americans are not your enemy." In an early sign of improvement, the crowd of protestors outside began chanting 'Injury to America!'"

MEYERS - "Yesterday, the Republican National Committee selected Michael Steele, an African-American, as their new party chairman. You guys know it doesn't work with just any black guy, right?"

MEYERS - "It was announced this week that Iceland's new prime minister will be Johanna Sigurdardottir, who is an openly gay former flight attendant. Ooo, a lesbian stewardess!?! Let's have a look at that! Oh. Well, you know congratulations."

MEYERS - "Police in Nigeria are holding a goat on charges of armed robbery because witnesses claim it is actually a man who turned himself into a goat. Which should be a real challenge for hotshot district attorney, Jack Madigan."

MEYERS - "Blowfish testicles prepared by an unauthorized chef in Japan sickened seven diners Tuesday. Probably because the chef used the testicles from these blowfish."

MEYERS - "Police in Switzerland said Thursday that they discovered a large marijuana plantation while using Google Earth. It's called Jamaica."

MEYERS - "A woman in Thailand broke her own record by spending 33 days with 5,000 scorpions. Not as impressive as it sounds when you consider that for the final 17 days she was dead."

MEYERS - "Oliver Percovich, a 34-year-old Australian man said he plans to open "Skateistan," Afghanistan's first skateboarding school. And, in a follow up story, "Skateistan is now closed," said the chopped off head of Oliver Percovich."

MEYERS - "Tomorrow is Super Bowl 43, in which the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals will open for Springsteen."

MEYERS - "NBC which is broadcasting the game, has rejected a Super Bowl ad from the animal rights organization PETA because it depicts sexy, lingerie-clad models being "intimate" with a vegetable. So, sort of like 'The Girls Next Door.'"

MEYERS - "A number of angry mothers who had their breast-feeding pictures removed from their Facebook pages by the company, have formed a new protest group called "Hey Facebook, breast-feeding is not obscene," which now has more than 160,000 members. Dozens of whom are women."

MEYERS - "In a sign of just how bad the television advertising market has become, several of the major networks have been running infomercials during prime time. While CBS has gone so far as to develop a new spin-off series, 'C.S.I.: Sham Wow.'"
