(February 21st, 2008  -  Editor)          The FOX network is planning a summer season of new releases that are slated to arrive on the small screen just as the season ends for many other shows. Due to the WGA strike, there was not time to adjust from the plan of a season of reality and game shows.

First out of the gate will be a two night, four hour launch of the fourth season of "So You Think You Can Dance". For two hours on each of May 22nd and 23rd, host Cat Deeley will introduce the all new roster of celebrities that have been asked to appear and then put them together with their dancing partners for the competition.

The unscripted series "When Women Rule The World" will debut with a special two-hour premiere Monday, June 2 at 8pm. Set in a primitive, remote location, the series explores what happens when a group of strong, educated and independent women, tired of living in a man’s world, rule over a group of unsuspecting men used to calling the shots. The series will air in its regularly scheduled time period beginning Monday, June 9 at 9:00pm.

New episodes of "The Moment Of Truth", "Hell's Kitchen", "Cops" and "America's Most Wanted" will continue for the next few months. "Bones" continues airing encore episodes on Mondays all summer, and "House" returns to Tuesdays with encores starting May 27.  Second runs of "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?" will join encores of Sunday night’s animated comedies "The Simpsons", "King Of The Hill", Family Guy and "American Dad" when the game show has its time period premiere Sunday, June 1.

NBC has announced March 2nd as the launched date for what they are billing as a "Romantic Comedy Reality Series". Hosted by comedian Pat Bullard, "Here Come the Newlyweds" is all about relationships, the differences between men and women, and the universal issues that every couple must face. The newlyweds are diverse, sexy and competitive, including such pairings as high school sweethearts, couples who fell in love at first sight, an arranged marriage, an interracial couple and two divorcees who are hoping the fourth time is the charm.
In this six-episode show, each couple faces a variety of mental and physical challenges which will test the love and passion they have for one another as well as their competitive spirit. At the end of each episode, the field will be narrowed as the couples vote to send one couple home. The stakes get higher as the potential nest egg grows, until one couple ultimately wins the grand prize.
In the premiere episode, "My Wife the Backseat Driver," the seven couples meet for the first time and the game begins. Each husband is blindfolded and must choose which kiss belongs to his wife - with each correct answer adding $10,000 to the final prize. A sex therapist gives the couples some interesting advice, and whichever blindfolded husband can knock down the least number of obstacles while his wife gives him driving directions will win immunity from elimination.
