THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF TELEVISION ARTS & SCIENCES ANNOUNCES 35th ANNUAL DAYTIME ENTERTAINMENT EMMY AWARD NOMINATIONS

(May 8, 2008.  - Editor)             The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences have announced the nominees for the 35th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards.  The announcement was made live on ABC’s “The View”, hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and  Sherri Shepherd.

The nominations were presented by “All My Children” stars Rebecca Budig (Greenlee Smythe) and Cameron Mathison (Ryan Lavery), Farah Fath (Gigi Morasco) and John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex Balsam) of “One Life to Live,” Marcy Rylan (Lizzie Spaulding) from “Guiding Light” and Van Hansis (Luke Snyder) of “As the World Turns” and Bryan Dattilo (Lucas Horton) and Alison Sweeney (Sami DiMera) from “Days of our Lives.”

Nominations were announced in the following categories:  Outstanding Drama Series; Outstanding Lead Actor/Actress in a Drama Series; Outstanding Supporting Actor/Actress in a Drama Series; Outstanding Younger Actor/Actress in a Drama Series; Outstanding Talk Show – Informative; Outstanding Talk Show - Entertainment; and Outstanding Talk Show Host.

As previously announced, this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Regis Philbin, host of “Live with Regis and Kelly.” Since Philbin first stepped in front of the camera more than 40 years ago, he has ambitiously tackled talk shows, game shows and almost anything else television could offer.  Early on, Philbin took “A.M. Los Angeles” from the bottom of the ratings to number one through his 7 year tenure and was nationally known as Joey Bishop’s sidekick on “The Joey Bishop Show.”  In 1983, he created “The Morning Show” for WABC in his native Manhattan.  It quickly became the number one show in the market.  Kathie Lee Gifford joined him in June, 1985, and in September, 1988, the program debuted in national syndication and the title was changed to “Live with Regis & Kathie Lee.”  In 2001, Philbin was joined by Kelly Ripa, and the program entered a new era as “Live with Regis and Kelly.”  As it continues its landmark 20th season, the syndicated program has become a staple of Daytime television.

THE NEW YORK TELEVISION FESTIVAL ANNOUNCE “FOX-NYTVF COMEDY SCRIPT CONTEST”

(May 8, 2008.  - Editor)             Fox Broadcasting Company joined with the New York Television Festival (NYTVF) today to announce the launch of the FOX-NYTVF Comedy Script Contest.  This contest invites aspiring television writers to enter their original comedy TV pilots for the opportunity to win $25,000 and a development deal with Fox Broadcasting Company.  The scripts must present an original idea for a potential half-hour comedy series.  The opening date for script submissions is June 2, 2008.

“The New York Television Festival is proud to embark upon our fourth year with the support of FOX,” said NYTVF founder Terence Gray.  “The mission of the NYTVF is to give talented producers and storytellers a platform to be noticed by the TV industry.  The FOX-NYTVF Comedy Script Contest extends the opportunity to up-and-coming comedy writers with innovative ideas and fresh voices.”

“FOX is proud to continue to support the NYTVF,” said Kevin Reilly, President, Entertainment for the network.  “And this contest will not only expand that mission, but will also give us an opportunity to discover fresh new writing talent and invigorate the network’s comedy development process by reaching out to a wider artistic community.”

The contest is open to US Residents 18 and over who do not have any contractual commitments preventing them from entering into an exclusive development deal with FOX.  All scripts not currently under development at a network, studio or major production company and meeting all other criteria in the Official Rules located at  http://nytvf.com/2008_fox_info.htm are eligible for the competition.  Scripts must be between 25 and 35 pages in a proper screenwriting format to be eligible.

Writers can enter by submitting a copy of their script online to the New York Television Festival.  Scripts must be saved in a PDF file format and uploaded to the official contest website located at http://nytvf.com/2008_contests_script.  The deadline for submissions is June 13, 2008, or when 1,500 submissions are received, whichever comes first.

A screening committee of NYTVF officials will narrow the pool of entrants down to 25 finalists.  These finalists will be presented to FOX development executives, who will select one winner.  The winner will receive $25,000 and a development deal from the network.  Fox Broadcasting Company will have the ability to develop the project further and potentially take it to the pilot and/or series stage.  Additionally, FOX may elect to enter into development agreements with the remaining finalists.

NBC UNIVERSAL ANNOUNCES EXCLUSIVE DEAL WITH MAGICAL ELVES – THE CREATIVE TEAM BEHIND EMMY NOMINATED HIT SHOWS 'PROJECT RUNWAY' AND 'TOP CHEF'

(May 8, 2008.  - Editor)             NBC Universal today announced its exclusive overall first look deal with the award-winning duo Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz of Magical Elves, the production team behind the Emmy-nominated hit shows "Top Chef and "Project Runway." The announcement was made by Jeff Gaspin, President and Chief Operating Officer, Universal Television Group and Ben Silverman, Co-Chairman, NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios.

"I've worked with Jane and Dan for over 10 years," said Gaspin. "They are great producers with original voices and a special knack for casting. Their track record of success speaks for itself and we're thrilled to have them here at NBC Universal."

"We are looking to build a bigger production capacity to feed our own and third-party distribution channels and platforms," said Silverman. "These Emmy-nominated producers consistently deliver quality programming and work brilliantly with advertisers."

The agreement provides NBC Universal's broadcast, all cable (Bravo, Oxygen, Sci-Fi and USA) digital and wireless properties an exclusive first look on all projects developed by Cutforth and Lipsitz. It also provides opportunities for Magical Elves to work on projects developed by the NBC Universal properties.

"This is an exciting milestone for our company and a chance to build on a relationship that has already borne a good deal of success," said Cutforth. "We have found NBC Universal to be great creative partners," said Lipsitz. "This deal represents amazing opportunities on multiple platforms, not just in unscripted television but in the scripted and digital spaces as well."

Magical Elves have been frequent collaborators with NBC Universal, producing four seasons of NBC's summer hit "Last Comic Standing" and "Treasure Hunters," and "Project Greenlight" and all four seasons of the Peabody Award winning "Project Runway" for Bravo. They are currently in pre-production with Bravo for "Project Runway 5." Cutforth and Lipsitz also produce the Emmy-nominated Bravo hit "Top Chef" - the number one food show on cable television - currently in its fifth and highest rated season to date.

Additionally, The Magical Elves developed and are producing Bravo's newest creative competition "Step It Up & Dance" and as previously announced, will produce the sophomore season of Bravo's "Top Design," and they have a pilot in production with Oxygen.

NBC ANNOUNCES TWO NEW HEART-POUNDING EVENTS AND THREE NEW GLADIATORS WHO WILL JOIN THE REVAMPED TEAM OF EXISTING WARRIORS IN THE PREMIERE EPISODE OF THE HIGH-OCTANE HIT 'AMERICAN GLADIATORS' MONDAY, MAY 12

(May 8, 2008.  - Editor)             NBC has unveiled three of the all-new American Gladiators who will join the team of existing warriors to take on 40 new fierce competitors when the iconic competition show returns Monday, May 12 from 8-10pm E.T/P.T. Three new unstoppable Gladiators make their debut in the premiere episode.

In addition to the new Gladiators, an all-new state-of-the-art Gladiator Arena hosts a second season filled with both new and classic events. The LA Sports Arena has been equipped for events that are bigger and more intimidating then ever before. A new pool that holds over 200,000 gallons of water, a new Wall that is over 50 feet high, and an all new, tougher "Eliminator" are just some of the updates to the new home of the Gladiators. Seven new heart-pounding events will be introduced this season, including Rocketball and Vertigo, which will be revealed in the premiere episode.

Iconic host Hulk Hogan weighed in on the newest installment of the hit series. "Season two of "American Gladiators" is going to be bigger and badder than before! We have new gladiators, new events and a new gladiator arena. All those gladiator maniacs out there are going to be blown away."

Male Gladiator:

ROCKET (Evan Dollard, Season One - Male Winner) The only male contender to take on the gladiators during season one and live to tell the tale, Rocket explodes with blazing speed every time he's launched into the gladiator arena. This is one ruthless competitor who will charm you with a blinding smile right until the moment he roars up beside you like lightning to toss you to your doom.

Female Gladiators:

JET (Monica Carlson, Season One - Female Winner) After her season one triumph as a contender, Jet is now officially cleared for takeoff as an American Gladiator. The supersonic stunner is ready to create some major turbulence, so everyone should fasten their seatbelts, return their tray tables to the upright and locked positions, and prepare for a crash landing.

PHOENIX (Jennifer Widerstrom, All-New Gladiator)
Soaring into the sky like a spirit from the flames who has been kissed by the sun, the beautiful and bewitching Phoenix is as impossible to defeat as her mythical namesake. And just when a competitor has fooled herself into believing she's got a chance, this dangerous bird of prey rises with talons fully extended to shred anyone into submission.

New Events:

ROCKETBALL
Contenders have one minute to hit their personal launch buttons and fire themselves as many times as they can into the air high above Gladiator Arena, where they'll try to sink baskets against two Gladiators with launch buttons of their own and one important goal - play some seriously aggressive defense. Balls in the lower basket are worth one point, balls in the upper basket are worth two.

VERTIGO
Vertigo takes a good old-fashioned foot race and puts it 30 feet in the air on top of rail thin poles that sway violently back and forth. One contender and one gladiator begin their race on the ground and, on the ref's whistle, attempt to scale the first of 8 sway poles as fast as they can. When they finally do reach the top, they must use their body weight and momentum to propel themselves towards the next pole. The race continues until the first person reaches the final pole and grabs the trapeze at the end. If that person is the contender, they earn 10 points. If it is the Gladiator, the contender gets either 5 points - if they've made it past the fifth pole scoring zone by then - or 0 points.

Hulk Hogan ("Hogan Knows Best") and Laila Ali ("Dancing with the Stars") return to host the second season, which promises to be bigger and bolder than ever before. Using splashy twists including special effects, water skills and the latest technology, the classic games have been upgraded with even higher thrills, impact, energy and spectacle.

Celebrating the everyday, true American heroes, weekend warriors who excel and take pride in their physical fitness, 40 contenders will go up against the show's gladiators, charismatic and eclectic warriors, in the ultimate David & Goliath battle. As in MGM's traditional "American Gladiators" franchise, everyday amateur athletes compete against the gladiators in contests of physical strength and endurance. The gladiators are action-adventure stars ready to take down the everyday challengers with hard knocks and explosive attitudes.

All contenders will have a unique story to tell and a compelling reason why they need to win. These unsung heroes combine brawn and heart in their effort to be worthy competitors, winning over the audience and turning them against the gladiators.

COULD ONE OF THESE FOUR PLAYERS COULD BE "THE MOLE"?

(May 8, 2008.  - Editor)             The first four of 12 players on "The Mole" can now be confirmed - Kristen (Santa Monica, CA), Victoria (Bishop, TX), Clay (Philadelphia, PA) and Paul (Yonkers, NY). Dubbed television's smartest reality show, the new season of "The Mole" premieres MONDAY, JUNE 2 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on ABC. The series returns with all-new missions, locations and music, plus online and mobile interactivity, enabling more viewer participation during the 10 episodes. Jon Kelley ("Extra," "The National Sports Report," "Baseball Today") is host.

"The Mole," based on the hit Belgian format, is produced by Stone & Company Entertainment and follows a group of players as they try to figure out who among them is The Mole, a saboteur trying to keep them from winning money. Players must decide who they think The Mole is and then learn as much about him or her as they can, because, at the end of each one-hour episode, the player who knows the least about The Mole is immediately eliminated from the game. In the final dramatic episode, The Mole is revealed and one of two final players wins a substantial cash prize.

The highly-rated ABC unscripted series has aired in various time periods during its four-season run, and was a consistent draw with key young adult viewers opposite established network competition, including NBC's "Law & Order" and the inaugural season of Fox's "American Idol." "The Mole" ranked either No. 1 or No. 2 in its respective slots each season with Adults 18-34, and took second place in each of its time periods among Adults 18-49. Despite facing stiff demographic competition, "The Mole" improved each of its time periods among Adults 18-34.

Additional information about the show and players can be found at ABC.com. Here are mini-bios for the first batch of players to be announced -

Kristen feels her best trait is her kindness, and her worst is that she's a perfectionist.

VICTORIA    Age: 26
Occupation: Retail Manager
Bishop, TX
Education: B.A., Texas A&M University, Kingsville

Victoria is a spunky, former pageant girl and cheerleader from a small town in Texas. She once told pageant judges that her favorite reality show was "The Mole" because you get to be deceptive in the game. This didn't go over so well with the judges. Victoria is very close to her family and professes to be a daddy's girl. She admits that her looks and sweet demeanor often get her what she wants, especially from men, and though people often mistake her for a naïve, small town girl, she admits she can be conniving when she wants to be. Victoria says people usually underestimate her intelligence, but she is much more observant and deceptive than she lets on. She considers herself very competitive and says she won't hesitate to backstab in the game if she has to. She admits one of her flaws is that she cusses like a sailor.

CLAY        Age: 32
Occupation: Criminal Litigation Attorney
Philadelphia, PA
Education: Law Degree, Howard Law School

Clay is a devoted husband and father of two sons who likens his household to the Cosby family. He feels that the skills he uses as a criminal trial attorney will closely parallel his strategy in the game, and plans to use his argumentative abilities to convince others to do what he wants. Clay is analytical and can easily hide his emotions. He says he will use the same skills he employs in selecting a jury for figuring out who the Mole is, and that because of his trial experience, he has developed a keen sense of how to read people from all walks of life. Clay thinks he can outsmart the other players in the game because he's smarter than most people. He does admit that he suffers a bit from OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), and has been known to touch a light switch ten times before he can leave a room.

PAUL        Age: 29
Occupation: Machinist
Yonkers, NY
Education: Attended Pace University

Paul has the accent and demeanor that clearly reveal he's an Italian New Yorker from Yonkers. He works 9 to 5 as a machinist for a utility company, and as a wedding DJ on the weekends. It was at one of these weddings that he met his wife and his life changed forever. A self-professed, former "pla'ya", Paul is now a man who dotes on his family, especially the love of his life, his two-year-old daughter. Outgoing and with a charismatic personality, he feels he has an advantage in "The Mole" because, growing up, his father worked for a spy gadget company and would use the gadgets to spy on his kids. Paul considers confidence, his best trait and his worst trait, and admits -- his wife will readily agree -- that he just doesn't know when to shut up.

ACADEMY AWARD WINNER JESSICA LANGE, EMMY AWARD WINNER TAMMY BLANCHARD AND EMMY AND GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD NOMINEE JOBETH WILLIAMS TO STAR IN "SYBIL," A NEW MOVIE TO BE BROADCAST SATURDAY, JUNE 7 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

(May 8, 2008.  - Editor)             SYBIL, a new television movie starring Academy Award winner Jessica Lange ("Tootsie"), Emmy Award nominee Tammy Blanchard ("Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows") and Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee JoBeth Williams ("The Big Chill") to be broadcast Saturday, June 7 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

SYBIL is based on the best-selling book of the same name by Flora Rheta Schreiber.  It is the true story of a young woman who suffers from dissociative identity disorder (formerly known as multiple personality disorder), a psychological condition where two or more distinct personalities exist within the same person as the result of severe trauma and abuse inflicted during childhood.

In the movie, Sybil (Blanchard) is introduced to Dr. Cornelia Wilbur (Lange), a psychiatrist who begins treatment after Sybil attempts suicide.  During their sessions, Sybil confides to Dr. Wilbur that she frequently loses her memory and cannot account for large blocks of time.  With the help of her doctor, Sybil slowly remembers the physical, emotional and sexual abuse inflicted on her as a child by Hattie (Williams), her mentally disturbed mother.  As Sybil starts to recall her troubled past, she reveals 16 separate and distinct personalities, each varying in age and personal appearance, which she created in order to cope with the cruelty she suffered as a child.  Throughout the course of Sybil's treatment, Dr. Wilbur becomes committed to helping Sybil face the memories which haunt her so that her fractured personality can be healed.

DeANNA BEGINS HER SEARCH FOR THAT ONE SPECIAL MAN WHEN "THE BACHELORETTE" PREMIERES, MONDAY, MAY 19, ON ABC

(May 8, 2008.  - Editor)             The 25 Bachelors Who Look to Capture DeAnna's Heart Are Revealed What do a sweet single dad, a hunky professional football player who is saving himself for marriage, a handsome science teacher, a sexy professional basketball player loaded with southern charm and an intense romantic who isn't afraid to confront the other men about their intentions all have in common? They're all on the hunt for the new Bachelorette, DeAnna Pappas, when the fourth edition of the female version of ABC's popular romance reality series, "The Bachelorette," premieres MONDAY, MAY 19 (9:02-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

(Editors note: The program's regular time is 8:00-10:00 p.m., ET, beginning Monday, June 2).

DeAnna, 26, a real estate agent from Newnan, Georgia, meets 25 potential soul mates as she begins her own search for true love. In the premiere, "Episode 401," 25 eligible men come from all over the country to try and win her heart. Single dad Jason says a tearful goodbye to his three-year-old son as he leaves to meet the woman he hopes will complete his family. Jeremy is convinced before ever laying eyes on DeAnna that they are meant to be together. The bachelors arrive at the villa and are immediately knocked off their feet by DeAnna, stunning in a sexy gold dress.

As the biggest night of her life begins, so does the competition between the men. Paul gives her a twirl; Eric greets her in Greek, while Jesse makes an outrageous fashion statement in florescent sneakers and a flamboyant jacket. As the guys go wild trying to impress DeAnna to get the three "first impression" roses, Luke presents her with a pearl necklace; Jason asks her to dance and Robert, who decides food is the way to a woman's heart - particularly since he's chef -- whips up a special crab cocktail in the mansion's kitchen and presents it with a flourish to the Bachelorette, as the other jealous men look on. On the cool California night, Ryan, who candidly admits that he is saving himself for marriage, hogs a blanket as he talks to DeAnna on the patio, while Spero chivalrously comes rushing in to offer her his jacket.

When only one "first impression" rose is left, the testosterone-fueled battle heats up. Sean shows off his martial arts expertise with an exciting karate move, kicking a lemon off Jesse's head. Brian shows off his six-pack abs, while Chandler shows off his duck calling talents. But Paul, at his outrageous best, jumps into the pool fully clothed and emerges wearing only a tiny bathing suit with DeAnna's name embroidered across the rear.

Tensions mount and sparks fly as the bachelors vie for the first impression rose. Finally, DeAnna must eliminate ten of the 25 men, leaving 15 to compete for her affections and, in the end, her heart.

DeAnna's 25 suitors are:

Brian W. (Texas), 31, high school football coach from Weatherford, TX.
Brian W. (Indiana), 29, computer network consultant from New Castle, IN.
Chandler, 25, insurance representative from Spotsylvania, VA.
Chris, 29, medical sales from Dallas, TX.

Donato, 26, sales representative from Charleston, SC.
Eric, 31, senior analyst, Boston, MA.
Fred, 30, lawyer, Chicago, IL.
Graham, 29, professional basketball player from Raleigh, NC.

QUOTABLES: "THE CHRIS MATTHEWS SHOW"

Predictions -- Sunday, May 4, 2008

DAN RATHER, HD NET:
"Republicans will continue to use the whole Wright issue up and down the line in state and local issues. It's a no-lose issue for them. One, they can help their local candidates, and two, in their heart of hearts they'd rather run against Hillary Clinton and every time they run it, they think they're damaging Obama in the process."

MICHAEL DUFFY, TIME MAGAZINE:
"The dirty little secret of the McCain veepstakes operation is that the choices just aren't very good. And they got worse this week when McCain said that the bridge that fell in Minneapolis last summer and killed 15 people was the result of wasteful government spending. That made Tim Pawlenty, the Minnesota governor who's on his short list, say 'You know, I don't know where he got that.' Not a dream ticket yet."

KIM GENARDO, WNCN-TV/RALEIGH, NC:
"Remember John Edwards? Well, who is he going to endorse? We're hearing from my sources that he will not endorse either Obama or Clinton by our May 6 primary, playing it out a bit longer because you bet he wants a Cabinet position."

ANDREA MOREHEAD, WTHR-TV/INDIANAPOLIS, IN:
"Former DNC chairman Joe Andrew just came out a couple of days ago and said he's now going to support Obama. He's a longtime friend of Bill Clinton's, longtime friend of Hillary -- didn't even call Hillary to let her know; he held a major press conference and said, 'I'm turning my vote over to Obama. As voters here in Indiana, you need to do the very same thing.'"

OPENING REMARKS FROM THE "LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN" ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

(Monday, April 28-Friday, May 2)

"I have a problem, maybe you folks can help me out with this - it's kind of a dilemma.  Let me know what you think.  Is it too soon to hit on Star Jones?"

"Well, you know what I'm talking about:  Star Jones, turns out - she's been married three years - turns out she is getting a divorce, getting a divorce.  Yep, sad...Well, now, you're taking it a little too hard.  That's bad for her, good news for me because she is the only thing left on my bucket list."

"Boy, here's some sad news for O.J. Simpson.  Have you been following O.J.'s career lately?  He wanted to be - he called up the Donald Trump guy and said, 'I would like to be on the 'Celebrity Apprentice.'  Well, it turns out O.J. will not be appearing on the 'Celebrity Apprenctice.'  That's almost like going to prison for murder."

"I didn't realize this - O.J. Simpson and Donald Trump were buddies.  Were you aware of that?  Yeah, they go way, way back.  In fact, O.J. hid the murder weapon in Trump's hair.

"Let me ask you a question:  are you sick and tired of the Presidential - Democratic Presidential primary?   I mean, well, Hillary, of course, wants another debate.  Wants another debate, that's right.  You heard me, wants another debate.  She says she's got nothing more to say, really - she just wants to show off a new pant suit."

"How about that John McCain?  Now there's a guy, right?  John McCain's a guy, don't you think?

I like John McCain.  He looks like the kind of guy who walks into Circuit City and says, 'Do you have typewriter ribbons?"

"Allergy season - anybody here have allergies?  Oh, man, awful, and it's crazy.  I'll tell you how bad the allergies have gotten - Al Gore is now talking about the threat of global sneezing."

"Here's what it was in New York City today - it was 58 and hazy, you know, like Paula Abdul."

"That Paula Abdul - and I love her, she's just a wonderful woman, but she's - I don't know, you know - she may not be hooked up right.  They had that 'American Idol' show on last night, and a kid comes out - all the kids come out and they sing a song.  So they turn it over to Paula and she starts talking to the kid about the song that he never sang.  And finally somebody says, 'He didn't sing that song,' and she said, 'Eh?'  But later, she had a good excuse - she said she was distracted by the sniper fire."

"You know, here's something that I enjoyed:  earlier today, maybe you saw this, Tom Cruise was on 'Oprah' this afternoon.  That's right.  Well, here's the deal:  she said he could come back after he agreed to have her couch fixed."

"They did one of those segments where Oprah goes to visit Tom Cruise at Tom Cruise's house, and talk about an awkward moment - she goes up, she knocks on the door.  Tom opens the door.  Listen to what Oprah says:  Oprah says, 'Is your daddy home?'"

"And then today, earlier today, on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show,' that David Blaine, that street magician guy, he set a new record for holding his breath.  It's amazing.  Now, the old record, if you're curious, was set by me in a New York City cab."

"But, honest to God, [David Blaine] held his breath for 17 minutes.  Now that's entertainment.  Are you with me on that?  Underwater for 17 minutes without breathing, or, as Dick Cheney calls it, interrogation."

"Here's sad news from the world of science, ladies and gentlemen:  Albert Hoffman - does that name mean anything to anybody?...Albert Hoffman, sadly, passed away.  Now, you probably remember Albert Hoffman was the man who discovered LSD.  Yes, that's right.  Albert Hoffman was responsible for more bad trips than American Airlines."

"This Albert Hoffman - I mean, tremendous mind.  What an innovator, and later in his career, here's what he did:  he combined LSD with birth control pills so you could take a trip without the kids."

"But don't kid yourselves, allergies can be really, really bad.  As a matter of fact, last night, former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer paid $4,000 to get his nose blown."

"Well, this is exciting:  you know People magazine, every year they have their annual list of 100 most beautiful people.  Are you aware of this?  I'm happy to announce this year, I'm on the list.  Thank you very much.  I'm right between Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and that fat guy from 'Lost.'"

"Big day for the New York Giants.  Yesterday, they were down in Washington, D.C.  You know, they're the Super Bowl champions and they met with President Bush at the White House.  The Patriots, who the Giants defeated in the Super Bowl, were not at the White House.  However, as you know, they sent a guy to videotape it."

"Big week for President Bush - tomorrow, he meets with the girlfriends of Roger Clemens."

"You know who I think is, hmm, is that Amy Winehouse, you know what I mean?  Talented musician, undeniably a talented musician - she was arrested for assaulting a man in a bar again.  Well, actually, in all fairness to Amy, she didn't do anything.  No, the guy was sucker-punched by her hair."

"And then they take [Amy Winehouse] to jail and she didn't behave any better in jail.  She tried to escape by combing her hair into the shape of a gun."

"Anybody here from Kentucky?  You know that tomorrow's the annual Kentucky Derby. Tomorro is the Kentucky Derby.  Yeah, great, I love the Kentucky Derby.  The field is made up of 25 three-year-olds and - no, wait a minute, that's not - no, that's Angelina Jolie's house."

"But don't kid yourselves, the Kentucky Derby is the most exciting two minutes in sports - if you don't count a Roger Clemens urine test."

"Now, this next item is the kind of thing that makes you wonder about the future of the world.  Some kids - a man and a woman - go into McDonald's in Japan, turns out, and they're in there because they're having sex.  Having sex in the McDonald's - not only are they having sex in McDonald's, they're videotaping it.  Videotaping it, and I'm thinking, 'Well, they're having sex in McDonald's - probably only two people that ever left McDonald's satisfied."
