EMINEM
TEAMS UP WITH STEWIE GRIFFIN TO HOST “ANIMATION DOMINATION” SUNDAY,
MAY 17, ON FOX
Los
Angeles, Ca., May 11th,
2009.
Grammy Award winner Eminem joins FAMILY GUY’s Stewie Griffin
to host ANIMATION DOMINATION Sunday, May 17 on FOX. Interstitials
featuring an animated version of the hip-hop star will air throughout
the Sunday night line-up.
Fans
should tune in for an exclusive surprise MySpace Music announcement
they won’t want to miss and visit www.myspace.com/music that evening
for additional details.
“It
was a thrill to work with Stewie,” said Eminem about the youngest
member of the Griffin clan. “I’m a big fan of talking babies and
their humor.”
On
working with Eminem, Stewie said “I was just about to meet him, but
after I shook hands with his stylist, his assistant, his lawyer, his
bodyguard, his other bodyguard, his photographer, his manager, his
hanger-on, his flower girl, his driver, his videographer, his notary,
his historian, his her-storian, his texter and his own greased-up deaf
guy, I got the swine flu.”
On
the season finale of FAMILY GUY airing Sunday, May 17 (9:00-9:30 PM
ET/PT), Peter has his palm read by a psychic who reveals that he had a
fascinating past life in the 17th century as Griffin
Peterson, a dignified gentleman from the newly founded colony of
Quahog who vied for the love of Lady Redbush. It was a time of great
love and adventure where King Stewart reigned supreme, the smartest
dog in the room was the court jester, army lieutenants were merely
boys and even old England loved “How I Met Your Mother” (Neil
Patrick Harris, Josh Radnor and Jason Segel guest-voice).
Eminem’s
fifth full-length album, “Relapse,” is set to be released on May
19. The album’s debut single, “Crack a Bottle,” was released in
February and set a first week record for digital sales at the time,
while the first official single and video, “We Made You,” debuted
in April. To date, Eminem has sold more than 75 million albums
worldwide. His previous studio album, “Encore,” reached No. 1 and
dominated the charts in late 2004. The Grammy-nominated disc was
certified quadruple-platinum, generated four Top 40 Hot 100 hits and
has sold more than 11 million copies. In October 2008, Eminem
published “Eminem: The Way I Am,” a compilation of thoughts,
stories and memorabilia that entered The New York Times Best-Seller
List at No. 11.
FAMILY
GUY is a 20th Century Fox Television production. Seth
MacFarlane is creator/executive producer, Mark Hentemann and Steve
Callaghan are executive producers/show-runners and David A. Goodman,
Chris Sheridan and Danny Smith are executive producers.

“UN-BROKE: WHAT YOU
NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MONEY”
New York, N.Y.,
May 12th, 2009.
Schools teach us almost everything, but not "Money
101." For the basics on finance, turn to "UN-BROKE: What You
Need to Know About Money." It's an unconventional look at the
fundamentals of everyday finance with all the facts about credit
cards, mortgages, stocks and bonds, investing and 401(k)'s, in a fresh
new format combining information and humor. The one-hour special airs
FRIDAY, MAY 29 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Hosted by "Good Morning America" contributor and President
of Ariel Investments Mellody Hobson, the special features Will Smith,
Samuel L. Jackson, the Jonas Brothers, Christian Slater, Cedric the
Entertainer, Seth Green, Sesame Workshop's Oscar the Grouch, Rosario
Dawson and the E*Trade Babies, among others.

'UN-BROKE' proves that it doesn't have to be boring. The economic
crisis was a harsh wake-up call that we can't keep doing the same
thing in the same way. To me, that meant taking a fresh look at my own
approach to financial education. This will make people laugh while
they learn."
The special's take on basic money sense includes:
* Will Smith, who gets down to basics with a boardroom full of
corporate finance executives.
* Samuel L. Jackson, who appears as a bestselling author of self-help

NBC
UNIVERSAL AND THE PEOPLES IMPROV THEATER ANNOUNCE SECOND ANNUAL
DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP
Universal City, Ca.,
May 8th, 2009.
As part of its successful Talent Diversity Initiative, NBC
Universal announced a second year of NBCU's Improv Scholarship Program
in partnership with The Peoples Improv Theater (The PIT) in New York
City in an effort to support and promote diversity within the arts.
Three up-and-coming comedians will be sponsored by NBC Universal and
The PIT to study at The PIT's year-long improvisational program, which
takes students from Level 1 to Level 5, and is taught by some of
comedy's newest and greatest talents, including Kurt Braunohler,
Ptolemy Slocum, Rebekka Johnson and Ali Farahnakian.
Last year's scholars (Reese Waters, Julia Morales and J. Elaine
Marcos) are midway through their year of study, and the trio has
already launched into the New York City comedy scene with an
appearance on NBC's "30 Rock," a recurring role on Comedy
Central's "Michael and Michael Have Issues," and a
designation as one New York magazine's Top 10 comics to watch.
"It's been very challenging and very fun. I love performing, so
having someone there to push my boundaries, or even eliminate them,
was very rewarding," said Diversity Scholar Waters. "My mind
has been opened to the entire spectrum of possibilities in every
decision I make, both on the Improv stage and the Stand-up
stage."
"We're excited about the successes that past scholarship
recipients have experienced," said Kendra Carter, Director of
Diversity Initiatives at NBC Universal. "This is a tribute to
their talent and demonstrates our commitment to discovering fresh and
unique talent of diverse backgrounds."
"It is our hope that the Diversity Scholarship will continue to
attract new faces and
talent to our theater and school, and to the comedic arts in
general," said Katie Goan, Managing Director of The PIT.
"New York City is a melting pot in and of itself, and it is an
honor for The PIT to be able to serve the city that has been so good
to us and give back in this way."
"We are proud to continue our relationship with the Peoples
Improv Theater," said Carter. "This partnership will expand
our outreach to add new voices to our full spectrum of opportunities
for talented improv actors, writers and comedians."
All performers -- particularly talented women and people of color with
a strong desire to study improv -- are eligible to apply. Candidates
should submit an official Improv Scholarship application along with a
five-minute DVD in which the candidate explains why he or she should
be chosen and include a performance of an original comedic work.
Scholarship Details:
• Full scholarship to study improvisation in The PIT's one-year
improv school for three students (Levels 1-5)
•
Submission Window Opens: May 15, 2009 (all submissions must be
received by August 31, 2009 by 5 p.m ET to be considered.)
•
Submission packet must include application, performance resume and a
five-minute DVD
•
A live "Finalists Showcase" will be scheduled in the fall at
The PIT. The three 2009/2010 Diversity Scholars will be selected by
both The PIT and NBC executives based on their performances at the end
of the showcase
The NBC Talent Diversity Initiative was created to promote on-camera
diversity through community involvement and development, showcasing
non-traditional casting choices and creating programs to raise
awareness at NBC Universal and within the entire entertainment
community. This initiative is part of NBC Universal's ongoing
commitment to diversity, both on and off camera.
The Peoples Improv Theater is dedicated to the instruction,
performance, and development of original comedy. The PIT strives to
entertain and educate the community about the comedic arts in a safe
and nurturing environment. The PIT is composed of four elements: a
school that focuses on the craft of improvisation, an eclectic variety
of electives and an unparalleled professional writing program; a
theater that presents original comedy six nights a week; a video
production company focused on producing comedy series for the
Internet; and a corporate and educational workshop program that offers
team building, leadership and business training.

success. In addition to a streaming radio station, the ABC Music

specific scenes and how having their music featured within a show
affected their careers.

Anatomy," the Music Lounge is launching with a complete
retrospective of the music featured over the series' current and
previous seasons, including exclusive footage of performances by Anya

producers and music video directors. And we are ready to make this the
most outstanding Awards broadcast to date."
The 2008 CMA Awards, held in Nashville during November Sweeps (Nov.

the 2008-2009 season for awards shows among Total Viewers. With
"The 42nd Annual CMA Awards," ABC won Wednesday night in
both Total Viewers (15.9 million) and Adults 18-49 (5.0/13). Nearly 35

The CMA Awards nominees and winners are determined by the 6,000
industry professional members of CMA, which was the first trade
organization formed to promote an individual genre of music in 1958.
Winners of "The 43rd Annual CMA Awards" will be determined
in a final round of voting by eligible voting members of the Country
Music Association. CMA Awards balloting is officiated by the
international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP.
"The CMA Awards recognizes the best of our format. Our artists
and music resonate with people from all walks of life, and that's what
makes this 'Country Music's Biggest Night,'" Genovese said.
The eligibility period for the 2009 CMA Awards is July 1, 2008 to June
30, 2009. All voting for "The 43rd Annual CMA Awards" will
be conducted online. The first ballot and instructions will be
e-mailed June 30 to CMA members in good standing who are eligible to
vote. Voting for the first ballot closes at 5:00 p.m., CT, July 16.
The second ballot will be e-mailed to CMA members Aug. 11. Voting for
the second ballot closes at 5:00 p.m., CT, Aug. 24. The final nominees
in each of the 12 categories will be announced in early September.

QUOTABLES
FROM 'SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE'S' 'WEEKEND UPDATE WITH SETH MEYERS' MAY 9,
2009
"WEEKEND
UPDATE" ANCHOR SETH MEYERS - "Louis Caldera, the White House
Aide who authorized the controversial photograph of Air Force One over
Manhattan resigned on Friday. May I suggest that they replace him with
PhotoShop. You don't have to fly Air Force One over Manhattan to get a
picture of Air Force One over Manhattan. Look here's Air Force One at
the pyramids. Here it is in a crowded elevator. And here it is on the
red carpet with the Space Shuttle. And of course there is the popular
children's book, 'Where's Air Force One?'"
MEYERS - "Pope Benedict on Friday began his first trip to the
Middle East in hopes that the Catholic Church can play a role in the
region's peace process. And because it's the Middle East, he traveled
in the official pope mobile inside another pope mobile."
MEYERS - "ESPN is reporting that the drug that resulted in Manny
Ramirez's suspension from baseball was a fertility drug. How did a
fertility drug make him a better baseball player. That's not his
bat."
MEYERS - "In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, John Edwards' wife
Elizabeth said that she has "no idea" if the former
presidential candidate is the father of his mistress' baby. Though,
judging from this photo, I'd say there's a resemblance."
MEYERS - "On Wednesday Maine became the 5th state to legalize gay
marriage after Governor Balducci signed a same-sex marriage bill into
law. It's the best news for gays in Maine since L.L. Bean introduced a
line
of assless duck waders."
MEYERS - "Peter Sarsgaard and Maggie Gyllenhaal were married this
past weekend. Before the wedding, the couple registered at Craate and
Baarrehyl. Peter Sarsgaard and Maggie Gyllenhaal were married this
past weekend. The wedding video is already nominated for an
Independent Spirit Award. Peter Sarsgaard and Maggie Gyllenhaal were
married this past weekend. Here is their official celebrity couple
nickname AAARAAA. Peter Sarsgaard and Maggie Gyllenhaal were married
this past weekend. They wrote their own vowels."
MEYERS - "Police in California arrested a man who tried to
smuggle songbirds into the US by strapping more than a dozen birds to
his legs and trying to walk out of the Los Angeles Airport. Police
became suspicious when they noticed the man was twittering without a
blackberry."
MEYERS - "Harry Potter: The Exhibition" opened at the
Chicago Museum of Science and Industry last week, using over 200 props
to recreate the magical world of Hogwarts. The exhibit offers fans a
chance to meet magical creatures like Buckbeak the Hippogriff, Dobey
the house elf,
and Barry the 47 Year-Old Who Is Required To Introduce Himself Under
Megan's Law."
MEYERS - "A pair of identical twins in China married another pair
of identical twins. What are the odds of that? Actually, in China,
about 3 to 1."
MEYERS - "A Philadelphia museum has rejected a request to test
its sample of Abraham Lincoln's blood to see if the 16th president had
a rare genetic disorder. Which is weird, because I thought we were
pretty clear on cause of death."
MEYERS - "This week, "Chanel," who has been named the
world's oldest dog by Guinness World Records, turned 21 years old.
Chanel also holds the world record for "longest time playing
dead" so I'm just saying maybe someone should check on Chanel."
MEYERS - "A man in Russia who underwent penis-enlargement surgery
returned to his doctors a month later begging them to undo it because
he was too big and no woman wanted to be with him. Though it's a
little suspicious because he just kept saying it really loud near the
nurse's station."

QUOTABLES
FROM 'LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON'
May
4 – May 8
"Earlier
today the Mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg said that in New York
City we had 73 confirmed cases of swine flu. But relax, there's only
two of them in the audience."
"But here at Late Night we forget about the swine flu because
tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo!! Millions of Mexicans will be drinking
Cerveza chased by Tamiflu."
"President Obama called his first hundred days as President
"tense but fruitful. " That's quite a coincidence –
because "tense and fruitful" is also how Joe Biden describes
his hair conditioner."
"Did you guys see the Kentucky Derby this weekend? Incredible.
"Mine That Bird" – a 50-1 long shot – came from behind.
Fifty to one. That means if you put a thousand dollars on "Mine
That Bird" to win --- you have a serious gambling problem."
"You guys watch The Hills? Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt got
married AGAIN last week. And they threatened to keep getting married,
every month until you care."
"A Swiss pilot has designed a pair of jet-propelled wings and is
planning to use them to fly across the Grand Canyon. Experts are
saying that the wings will be a huge hit with the bottom of that
canyon."
"Finally, A Radio Shack employee was arrested after he punched a
customer who was trying to return an item. The employee is being
charged with Assault - but because it's Radio Shack - Battery is not
included."
"Big day in New York City - Michelle Obama is in town. She's
visiting New York today for the first time as First Lady. She's going
all over the city. When A-Rod saw her, he asked, "What're you
putting in those biceps?""
"A.O.L. has launched its own news site. It's the best place on
the Internet to find the top stories from 1997."
"Here's some good news. For the first time in 30 years, American
children have improved their reading scores. It's impressive – now
they can read English almost as well as Chinese children."
"A very special happy birthday to our own Brian Williams. You can
tell he had a wild night of celebrating because one of his hairs was
pointing in the wrong direction."
"In Pennsylvania, a man was arrested for breaking into homes and
then vandalizing them with chocolate pudding. The police now have
enough evidence to prove that Bill Cosby has completely lost his
mind."
"In Oregon, seven people were arrested during a fight at a
karaoke bar. It was incredible –the cops read them their rights,
right off the TV screen."
"This week Time Magazine released its list of the world's most
influential people and my good friend Tina Fey is on the list.
Congratulations Tina. But so is Sarah Palin. It's weird isn't it? How
those two are now forever connected in a way. Two people who are so
different and yet they look so much alike. It's like me and George
Clooney."
"I just read a new study that shows that obese children are much
more likely to develop allergies. But here's the good news: not food
allergies."
"Barack Obama and Joe Biden made a surprise trip outside the
White House yesterday for burgers. Obama ordered a cheeseburger and
Biden asked for 'whatever comes with the toy.'"
"After they finished the meal – Obama put the duct tape back
over Biden's mouth."
"Paula Abdul's in the news. Paula had the courage to reveal that
she has been addicted to prescription painkillers for the past twelve
years. And to Paula – I'd like to say – "We knew.""
"The government is now recommending that schools stay open even
if they have a confirmed case of swine flu. I love it. In one week,
the Swine Flu has gone from the end of the world… to "not as
bad as snow.""
"Kiefer Sutherland got into a fight with a fashion designer and
broke the guy's nose at a party. This incident took place between the
hours of 2am and 3am."
"A new study finds that trendy baby names lose their appeal after
about twenty years. Which is bad news for my little brother, MC Hammer
Fallon."
"On this day in 1937 The Hindenburg exploded while attempting to
land in New Jersey. Which was a tragedy, but hey, at least they
avoided landing in New Jersey. Too soon? Too soon?"
"It came out today that Paula Abdul earns only 5% of what Simon
Cowell does for doing American Idol. But to be fair, Paula's only
awake 5% of the time."
"Today General Motors reported a loss of 6 billion dollars in the
last quarter. Or as GM calls it, "Kickin' ass.""
"This is exciting. Saudi Arabia's official beauty pageant begins
