THE CW ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE FOR 2009-2010 SEASON

(May 21st, 2009. - Editor)          The CW Network unveiled the schedule for its 2009-2010 season at a presentation for advertisers, affiliates and national media in the Theater at Madison Square Garden. The announcement was made by Dawn Ostroff, President of Entertainment, The CW.

“In just three years, The CW has become TV to talk about, with culturally current, quality programming,” said Ostroff. “Next fall, we will have great flow from Monday through Friday, starting with the Monday pairing of GOSSIP GIRL and ONE TREE HILL which made The CW one of the top destinations for young women this season. Tuesday night gives us a perfect match with 90210 and MELROSE PLACE. And what could be better than our Wednesday night shows from Tyra Banks and Ashton Kutcher – the all-model lineup of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL and THE BEAUTFUL LIFE On Thursdays, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES taps into the continuing fascination young women have with all things vampire, and makes the perfect lead-in for SUPERNATURAL, which is coming off its strongest year ever. Moving SMALLVILLE to Fridays gives us a major player with a loyal fan base to kick off the night. Top all that off with our heartwarming and humorous midseason drama PARENTAL DISCRETION ADVISED from writer/producer Liz Tigelaar, and we have a full slate of great programming to keep our viewers watching, chatting, texting and tweeting all next season.”

On Monday, the powerhouse combination of GOSSIP GIRL and ONE TREE HILL will remain in place. Last fall, this winning team made The CW the Number One network with women, and sent Monday night ratings up 118 percent in women 18-34. GOSSIP GIRL, which continues to be one of the most talked-about shows on television, will return to its 8:00-9:00 p.m. slot, followed by ONE TREE HILL from 9:00-10:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, 90210 returns for its sophomore season in the 8:00-9:00 p.m. timeslot. Last season, 90210 gave The CW its highest-rated series premiere ever and improved the 8:00 p.m. time period by 35 percent in women 18-34. The highly anticipated, updated version of the 1990s monster-hit drama MELROSE PLACE will premiere in the 9:00-10:00 p.m. timeslot. The new MELROSE PLACE features a dynamic ensemble of up-and-coming stars, along with two original cast members reprising the roles they made famous: Laura Leighton as Sydney Andrews and Thomas Calabro as Dr. Michael Mancini. MELROSE PLACE promises to deliver all the backstabbing and sizzle of the original series. And, as they did once before, 90210 and MELROSE PLACE will combine for a great night of television.

On Wednesday, AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL returns in its successful 8:00-9:00 p.m. timeslot, followed by the glamorous new drama THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE. Last season, AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL ranked second in its time period with young women. Tyra Banks is one of the few women who is seen regularly on both daytime and primetime television. Beginning this fall, The CW’s daytime block will feature two hours of THE TYRA BANKS SHOW, with an encore episode from 3:00-4:00 p.m. and an original episode from 4:00-5:00 p.m. AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL and THE TYRA BANKS SHOW provide perfect symmetry and a natural fit for The CW brand by targeting the same audience in both primetime and daytime.

New drama THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE joins TOP MODEL on Wednesdays. From producers Ashton Kutcher, Jason Goldberg, Karey Burke, Mike Kelley and Carol Barbee, the fashion-based series gives viewers an exciting, behind-the-scenes glimpse at the cutthroat world of a group of young, beautiful and very sexy models living together in a models’ residence in New York City. The show features a stunning ensemble cast, featuring Sara Paxton (“Last House on the Left”), Mischa Barton (“The O.C.”) and supermodel Elle Macpherson (“Friends”). Together, AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL and THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE will be television’s most fashionable night.

Thursdays go Goth with the new teaming of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES from 8:00-9:00 p.m., followed by SUPERNATURAL in the 9:00-10:00 p.m. hour. Based on the best-selling series of books, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is the story of two vampire brothers obsessed with the same beautiful girl, and battling to control the fate of an entire town. Starring Nina Dobrev (“DeGrassi: The Next Generation”), Paul Wesley (“Mad Men”), Ian Somerhalder (“Lost”) and Steven R. McQueen (“Everwood”), THE VAMPIRE DIARIES makes the perfect new lead-in to SUPERNATURAL. Last season, SUPERNATURAL’s Winchester brothers gave the network ratings growth across key young demos, despite the highly competitive timeslot.

Big changes are in store on Fridays when SMALLVILLE relocates to the 8:00-9:00 p.m. hour, bringing young viewers from Thursday into Friday nights. With non-stop action and classic DC Comics characters from Lois Lane to Doomsday, SMALLVILLE continues to give loyal viewers the stories and characters they love.

The heartwarming and humorous drama PARENTAL DISCRETION ADVISED will premiere midseason. From writer/producer Liz Tigelaar, (“Brothers and Sisters”), PARENTAL DISCRETION ADVISED is the story of a young girl who finds her biological parents and how that discovery changes all their lives. The show stars Britt Robertson (“Swingtown”), Kristoffer Polaha (“Mad Men”), Shiri Appleby (“E.R.”) and Kerr Smith (“Eli Stone”).

No one knows GOSSIP GIRL’s identity, but everyone in this exclusive and complicated vicious circle relies on her website and text messages for the latest scoop. The series stars Blake Lively as Serena van der Woodsen, Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf, Penn Badgley as Dan Humphrey, Chace Crawford as Nate Archibald, Taylor Momsen as Jenny Humphrey, Ed Westwick as Chuck Bass, Jessica Szohr as Vanessa Abrams, Kelly Rutherford as Lily van der Woodsen and Matthew Settle as Rufus Humphrey. In season seven of ONE TREE HILL our beloved characters learn the struggle to live an exceptional life doesn’t end once you’ve achieved your dreams. Whether they found true love, answered a call to greatness, or sought redemption for sins of the past, nothing that’s come before compares to the challenges our characters now face to keep their dreams alive, their friendships intact and their lives full in the place they call home. ONE TREE HILL was created by Mark Schwahn and is executive produced by Schwahn, Joe Davola, Greg Prange, Mike Tollin and Brian Robbins. ONE TREE HILL is a Mastermind Laboratories and Tollin/Robbins Production in association with Warner Bros. Television.

TUESDAY

8:00-9:00 P.M. 90210
The second season of 90210 focuses on the West Beverly group as they begin their all-important Junior year. They’ll go through all the ordinary teenage struggles and triumphs – crushes, sexual discovery, academic pressure, evolving friendships, shunning and isolation, love and relationships, family issues, SATs, STDs, a desire to fit in, a desire to stand out, fear and humiliation, joy and exultation – but they’ll do so in the extraordinary world of LA – a world of movie stars and overnight success, glamour and glitz, surfing and sunshine; a city where the American dream is writ large in the Hills and yet failure could come around any corner of the Boulevard of Broken Dreams. We’ll follow Naomi, the well-meaning, but delightfully narcissistic rich girl with a heart of cubic zirconium; Adrianna, the gifted, artistic drama queen whose personal life is as dramatic as any role she could hope to play; Silver, the outspoken free spirit who marches to the beat of her own drum machine; Annie, the good girl from Kansas who has gotten a bit lost in the land of Oz; Dixon, her charming, good-natured brother who adapts easily to any challenging situation and yet is still struggling to find his own voice; Navid, whose geeky charm makes all the Blaze girls swoon; and Liam, the troubled New York transplant who abhors the decadent materialistic world of Beverly Hills. These stories could only happen in LA…and only on “90210.” The series stars Rob Estes as Harry Wilson, Lori Loughlin as Debbie Wilson, Shenae Grimes as Annie Wilson, Tristan Wilds as Dixon Wilson, AnnaLynne McCord as Naomi Clark, Ryan Eggold as Ryan Matthews, Jessica Stroup as Silver, Michael Steger as Navid Shirazi, Jessica Lowndes as Adrianna Tate-Duncan and Matt Lanter as Liam Court. 90210 is produced by CBS Television Studios with executive producer Rebecca Sinclair.

9:00-10:00 P.M. MELROSE PLACE (New Series)
In an elegant Spanish-style apartment building in the trendy Melrose neighborhood of Los Angeles, a diverse group of 20-somethings have formed a close-knit surrogate family. Sydney Andrews (Laura Leighton, the original MELROSE PLACE) is the landlady, still beautiful at 40, and a central figure in the lives of all her tenants, especially handsome and rebellious David Breck (Shaun Sipos, “Shark”). Sydney started an affair with David despite her turbulent history with his estranged father, Dr. Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro, the original MELROSE PLACE). Both father and son learned through experience that Sydney was not above using blackmail to control people. Another tenant, high-powered publicist Ella Simms (Katie Cassidy, “SUPERNATURAL”), once considered Sydney her mentor, but their friendship was destroyed by betrayal, and Sydney threatened to evict Ella and ruin her career. Sydney also played a pivotal role in the career of Auggie Kirkpatrick (Colin Egglesfield, “All My Children”). After they met at an AA meeting, she became Auggie’s sponsor and encouraged his dream to become a chef. Now a successful sous chef at the trendy restaurant Coal, Auggie has been avoiding Sydney since she began drinking again. The other tenants include Lauren Yung (Stephanie Jacobsen, “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”), a medical student in desperate need of money to pay her student loans, and Jonah Miller (Michael Rady, “Swingtown”), an aspiring filmmaker who has just proposed to his live-in girlfriend Riley Richmond (Jessica Lucas, “Cloverfield”), a first-grade teacher. The newest tenant, 18-year-old Violet Foster (Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, “7th Heaven”), has just arrived in LA with her own secret connection to Sydney. When a bloody body is found floating in the courtyard pool, David is the leading suspect. However, as the police are soon to discover, almost everyone living at MELROSE PLACE had a reason to want the deceased out of the way. An updated version of the popular 1990s series, MELROSE PLACE is from CBS Television Studios with executive producers Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer (“SMALLVILLE”). Oscar-winner Davis Guggenheim (“An Inconvenient Truth”) is the director and executive producer of the pilot.

9:00-10:00 P.M. THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE (New Series)
The life of a high-fashion model appears glamorous and sexy, but as every new model quickly learns, behind the beautiful faηade is a world of insecurity and cutthroat competition. Two teenage models who are about to discover this world for themselves are Raina Collins (Sara Paxton, “Last House on the Left”), a stunning beauty with a secret past, and Chris Andrews (Benjamin Hollingsworth, “The Line”), a strikingly handsome Iowa farm boy. When Raina makes an unforgettable impression at a show introducing the new line from designer Zac Posen (appearing in a cameo role), she steals the spotlight from her friend Sonja (Mischa Barton, “The O.C.”). Sonja has been out of the country for mysterious reasons and is now desperate to reclaim her standing as the reigning supermodel. While Raina and Sonja live at the top of the fashion food chain, Chris is starting at the bottom, having just been discovered by agent Simon Lockridge (newcomer Dusan Dukic) of the Covet Modeling Agency, which is owned by former supermodel Claudia Foster (Elle Macpherson, “Friends”). At his first photo shoot, Chris’ inexperience almost derails his career until Raina comes to his rescue, showing him how to relax and work the camera. That afternoon, Raina brings Chris to the “models’ residence” where she lives along with other young hopefuls, including Marissa Delfina (Ashley Madekwe, “Secret Diary of a Call Girl”), Egan (Jordan Woolley, “As The World Turns”), Issac (Corbin Bleu, “High School Musical 2”) and the current alpha-male-model known as Kai (Nico Tortorella, “Twelve”). At an exclusive industry party that night, Chris is again impressed by Raina’s generosity when she steps aside to make sure Sonja lands a job that will resurrect her career. However, after an ugly scene with Simon, Chris is left to question whether he can survive in this world of dangerous excess and fleeting fame. THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE is from Katalyst Films in association with CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Television with executive producers Ashton Kutcher & Jason Goldberg (“True Beauty,” “Punk’d”), Karey Burke (“True Beauty”), Mike Kelley (“Swingtown,” “Jericho”) and Carol Barbee (“Swingtown,” “Jericho”). McQueen, “Everwood”) are still trying to cope with their grief and move on with their lives. Elena has always been the star student; beautiful, popular and involved with school and friends, but now she finds herself struggling to hide her sadness from the world. As the school year begins, Elena and her friends are fascinated by a handsome and mysterious new student, Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley, “Army Wives”). Stefan and Elena are immediately drawn to one another, and Elena has no way of knowing that Stefan is a centuries-old vampire, struggling to live peacefully among humans, while his brother Damon (Ian Somerhalder, “Lost”) is the embodiment of vampire violence and brutality. Now these two vampire brothers - one good, one evil - are at war for Elena’s soul and for the souls of her friends, family and all the residents of the small town of Mystic Falls, Virginia. Based on the series of books by L. J. Smith, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is from Alloy Entertainment and Bonanza Productions Inc in association with Warner Bros. As the brothers were caught up in the epic battle between angels and demons, Sam and Dean found their relationship was strained almost to the breaking point until ultimately, both brothers were betrayed. Now, in season five, they must battle the Devil himself. The series stars Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester, Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester and Misha Collins as Castiel). SUPERNATURAL is from Warner Bros. FRIDAY

8:00-9:00 P.M. “SMALLVILLE”
Returning for its ninth season, last season SMALLVILLE was filled with twists and surprises, starting with the disappearance of Lex Luthor. However, someone quickly arrived to take his place – the enticing Tess Mercer. As Tess maneuvered her way through town, she flirted with her old flame Oliver Queen, discovered Clark’s true identity and unleashed a new world of danger. As if that hurdle wasn’t enough for Clark, he also met his greatest match – Doomsday. SMALLVILLE explored the origins of Doomsday, revealing a sympathetic guy named Davis Bloome, who battled an inner demon – the Doomsday character fans have loved to hate for years. When Clark wasn’t busy battling the beast, he was knee-deep in work at the Daily Planet. Last season threw Clark and Lois Lane together – literally across the desk from each other. As Clark’s persona as the cub Planet reporter emerged, so did his feelings for Lois, the fated love of his life. The series stars Tom Welling as Clark Kent, Allison Mack as Chloe Sullivan, Erica Durance as Lois Lane, Justin Hartley as Oliver Queen and Cassidy Freeman as Tess Mercer. Reinterpreting the Superman mythology from its roots, SMALLVILLE was developed for television by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar (“Shanghai Noon,” “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor”), based on the DC Comics characters. Kelly Souders & Brian Peterson serve as executive producers, along with James Marshall, Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola. The series is produced by Tollin/Robbins Productions and Warner Bros. Television. SUPERMAN was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

PARENTAL DISCRETION ADVISED (New Series)
After spending all of her 15 years bouncing from one foster family to another in Portland, Oregon, Lux (Britt Robertson, “Swingtown”) has decided it’s time to take control of her life and become an emancipated minor. Her journey through the legal maze leads Lux to her biological father, 30-something Nate “Baze” Bazile (Kristoffer Polaha, “Mad Men”), who owns a bar, lives like an aging frat-boy with two slacker roommates, and is astonished to learn that he has a teenage daughter. Lux is equally astonished when Baze reveals that her mother is Cate Cassidy (Shiri Appleby, “E.R.”), a star on the local “Morning Madness” radio show, along with her on-air partner and real-life boyfriend, Ryan Thomas (Kerr Smith, “Eli Stone”). Lux has been listening to Cate’s voice on the radio as long as she can remember, so she feels an instant connection with the mom she’s never met. Baze takes Lux to meet Cate, who is shocked and saddened to learn that Lux has grown up in foster care, but thrilled to finally meet her beautiful daughter. When a judge decides that Lux isn’t ready for emancipation and unexpectedly grants temporary joint custody to Baze and Cate, they agree to try to get past the awkwardness and make a belated attempt to give Lux the family she deserves. PARENTAL DISCRETION ADVISED is produced by Mojo Films in association with CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Television with executive producers Liz Tigelaar (“Brothers and Sisters,” “What About Brian”) and Gary Fleder (“October Road”). Gary Fleder directed the pilot.

I SURVIVED A JAPANESE GAME SHOW ANNOUNCES PLAYERS

Los Angeles, Ca.,  May 27th, 2009.                "I Survived a Japanese Game Show" has completed shooting in Japan for Season 2, premiering WEDNESDAY, JULY 8 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET/PT) on ABC. The unscripted reality/game show takes an eye-opening, behind-the-scenes look at 12 Americans (listed below) who were whisked away to Japan to compete in the ultimate Japanese game show... with hilarious results. The final winner will take home $250,000.

Season 1 of the game show was the big winner at the recent 49th Rose d'Or Festival, one of Europe's most prestigious TV honors, taking the prize as "Best of 2009" (best show on television -- scripted and unscripted), as well as the Rose Trophy for best reality show. The series also received a DGA nomination for Best Reality Competition Show.

Returning will be the witty game show host Rome Kanda ("Pink Panther," "Saturday Night Live"), who leads the contestants through all of the zany challenges; Mama-San, a house mother and resident pot stirrer; and Judge Bob, the rarely dynamic but always entertaining referee of the games.

The 12 players are:

YARI AGRAMONTE (22) -- Accounting Clerk -- Bronx, NY
Loud, outgoing and opinionated, this spunky Latina is the center of attention wherever she goes. This energizer meets Rosie Perez can't hold back on her emotions and will give it to you straight whether you want it or not, both in English and in Spanish! She's a little spark plug who brings her can-do attitude to everything she does, especially the games. This girl from the Bronx knows what she wants, will stop at nothing to get it, and she'll have the time of her life on the way to reaching her goals.

BRENT ALEXANDER (28) - Salsa Instructor - Miami, FL
Energetic, smart and fun, Brent is the guy all the other guys want to hang out with and all the girls want to date. Possessed of a certain charm, he can't help but be the life of the party, and others can't help but befriend him. Brent is as genuine and real as they come: He'd give the shirt off his back to help a stranger, but would also be straightforward and honest if he didn't agree with someone or something. A good personality and good looks aren't the only things going for him; he's also extremely smart, athletic and an incredible dancer. For someone who has it all, he's surprisingly humble. Accomplishing any task he puts his mind to, Brent says he is "confident but not cocky."

DAN BARBOUR (27) - Librarian - Shrewsbury, MA
Willful yet likable, Dan is a librarian who "has an opinion about everything." Whether the topic is politics, movies or the color of the sky, Dan's the type of guy who "always believes he's right, and everyone else is wrong." But don't let his choir boy looks and tendency to blush fool you. This avid poker player is no pushover, and he's not afraid to manipulate a situation to his advantage. This self professed virgin was home schooled and is the product of a conservative, religious upbringing. He never curses, and his favorite phrase is "Oh my goodness." He'll be the ultimate fish out of water not only in Japan, but also living with the other Americans.

MEGAN BENTLEY (28) -- Dental Supply Salesperson - Chicago, IL
Megan puts the ME in Megan. The world revolves around her and, if it doesn't, she'll do something about that! Growing up on a farm in rural Ohio, this only child is also a walking television show, and everything that comes out of her mouth is wildly funny or sarcastic. Beneath the sarcasm and bravado, however, you'll find that Megan is incredibly sensitive, likable and prone to drama and tears.

JUSTIN BROWN (22) -- College Student - Carbondale, PA
Justin Brown is a real life "Van Wilder." He is funny, has tons of ambition, but lacks the focus and dedication to truly get what he wants. As a fifth year senior, he has gained the confidence and subtle arrogance that come with being a big fish in a small pond. He often uses humor, charm and wit to get what he wants, including talking his way back into school after being academically discharged and being elected president of his fraternity.

CATHY GROSAM (35) - Housewife - Bartlett, IL
Cathy is the cute and funny housewife who's also ultra competitive. She's is one of those moms that everyone wishes they'd had growing up: She's super involved, loud, crazy and a whole lot of fun. She's also always the loudest mom cheering from the sidelines. Not a 'desperate housewife,' Cathy loves being a full time, stay at home mom, calling herself a "child engineer." Some may call her controlling, but she'd say she just loves to be involved in everything her kids do. She is the VP of the PTA and the coach for her son's soccer team. The moms around her neighborhood call her "The Queen of School."

DEBBIE KAUFMAN (22) -- Stable Hand - Easton, CT
Debbie is an incredibly book smart, eccentric and funny young woman. She was raised an only child by supportive parents who shielded her from the realities of sharing, poverty and heartache. Debbie hasn't had to deal with a world that says "no" or tells her that she isn't good enough. She believes that she can do anything, get anything she desires, and she isn't afraid to tell you what's on her mind.

BOB "BOBALOO" KOENIG (35) - House Cleaner - Los Angeles, CA
Bob "Bobaloo" Koenig is a loud, large, loveable guy with true Midwest values. Growing up in Milwaukee, Bobaloo was always the funny athletic kid who loved sports and traditional Midwestern food. With a healthy diet of beer and cheese, he was the chubby kid everyone loved to be around. Not much has changed for Bobaloo since his childhood days -- he's still the funny, high-energy guy from the Midwest everyone wants on their team.

JAMIE LEWIS (25) - Leasing Agent - Fairless Hills, PA
A "tell it like it is" kind of girl with a big mouth and no filter, Jamie is a spitfire from Philly who is sure to heat up this competition. "Being real" is what Jamie is all about, and whether or not people can handle the truth "isn't her problem." With her spunky charm, bubbly personality and electric smile, it's easy to see why Jamie describes herself as "a ray of sunshine." And with her feisty, in-your-face attitude, it's also easy to see why she adds that she's "a ray of sunshine that isn't afraid to burn you." Possessing the "rawness" that she feels embodies her beloved hometown of Philly, Jamie is "honest to a fault, opinionated and tough, but also has the biggest heart in the world." After the Eagles lost their shot at the Super Bowl recently, Jamie says, "Philly is hungry for a new champion, and she intends to be the Rocky of Majide!"

LINDA PLAXEN (32) -- Button Seller - Los Angeles, CA
Athletic, fun and easygoing, Linda is a tomboy who still likes to look good and shop. Extremely active and in great shape, she works hard to keep her physique. Brutally honest and a trash talker, Linda isn't afraid to speak her mind. Born and raised in Southern California, she has the laid back California vibe and the cute girl-next-door look. Down to earth and likable, Linda gets along with boys better than she does with girls. Nothing gets under her skin more than fake blonde bimbos - she HATES them.

DREW SEALY (29) - Attorney - St. Louis, MO
Good looking, smart and admittedly shallow, Drew is as blunt as they come. This successful attorney has a high opinion of himself and has a low tolerance for those who don't meet his standards. Working hard for his money, he's happy being frivolous with it and loves showing it off with toys and in his lifestyle. Drew works hard but plays harder; he frequently flies to South Beach and Vegas to party on the weekends. Into his looks, skin care and clothes, this pretty boy is as straight as they come. He thinks the world revolves around him and will only help others out if it would benefit him in one way or another.

KIMBERLY WHITTAKER (25) -- Elementary School Teacher - Philadelphia, PA
Outgoing, outspoken and hardworking, this beautiful former pageant queen and Junior Olympian is in a league of her own and knows it. Standing six feet tall with a size 24 waist, Kimberly is definitely a looker and attention grabber. A go-getter, she knows what she wants and won't stop until she gets it; you don't want to be the one to stand in her way, or you'll get the wrath of Kimberly. The first to admit that she's a diva, Kimberly will tell you exactly what's on her mind and doesn't care about hurting someone's feelings.

Some of the games/challenges will include:

BIG FOOT BANG BANG
"Wacky" doesn't begin to describe this game which puts a larger than life spin on Foosball. From the crazy costumes of fruit and cactus to the highflying action, "Big Foot Bang Bang" is an instant classic!

ALIEN TOOK MY TEDDY BEAR
Contestants are dressed as green aliens seeking to cross two conveyor belts and three spinning platforms while trying to transport as many stuffed bears as possible in 3 1/2 minutes. If they fall into the powder pit at the end, they have to start again.

GOPHER MAKE YOU CRAZY
In this homage to the arcade classic, "Whack-a-Mole," contestants pop their heads up through a set of holes and try to spit the most ping-pong balls into a container. One problem -- an opponent is waiting for them with an inflatable hammer!

The executive producers are Arthur Smith and Kent Weed for A. Smith & Co. ("Kitchen Nightmares," "Hell's Kitchen"), and David Sidebotham, Karsten Bartholin and Tim Crescenti for Babyfoot APS Denmark.

QUOTABLES FROM 'LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON' May 18 – May 22

"On Saturday, President Obama went to Malia and Sasha's soccer games. He rode to the games in Minivan One."

"In the new issue of Newsweek - they are calling Barack Obama "Spock - with global sex appeal." Which is a bit of a coincidence – because Time magazine is calling Joe Biden "Chewbacca with fur-plugs.""

"This is surprising. A new survey shows that the happiest Americans are elderly, male, and Republican. In other words, Republican."

"Borel, the jockey who rode Mind That Bird to victory in the Kentucky Derby – well, on Saturday, he switched horses and rode Rachel Alexandra to victory in the Preakness. Man, what a… slut."
"After the race he said he felt five feet tall."

"Los Angeles had an earthquake that registered 4.7 on the Richter scale last night, when Kirstie Alley tripped over an ottoman."

"Scientists are saying that the potency of marijuana has risen in the last few years and now it's now more powerful than ever, "Did you hear that… Jeremy. I don't know… am I talking to you?""

"A man in Taiwan had his penis bitten by a snake while he sat on a toilet. Just in case you needed one more reason not to sit on a toilet in Taiwan."

"A man in London was arrested for hiring a prostitute for his 14-year-old son. It's terrible, now the boy has to lose his virginity the old fashioned way… with his teacher."

"Joe Biden accidentally revealed the location of the Vice President's top-secret bunker. The guy can't help it, but he did apologize. He said, "I'm so sorry for this mistake - the launch code is 85334. It'll never happen again - my g-mail password is robot23. The house key is under the plant near my doorstep."

"President Obama appointed Utah's Republican Governor Jon Huntsman as Ambassador to China. It's part of Obama's strategy to get every Republican out of the country by 2010."

"Did you guys see the season finale of "24" last night? Jack Bauer ended up in a coma. I didn't think that was original at all. I mean, that's how Paula ends every season of American Idol."

"It seems every finale this season is ending the same way. On "24," Jack Bauer is fighting for his life. On "Grey's Anatomy," Izzy is fighting for her life. And on "60 Minutes," half the anchors are fighting for their lives."

"A man in Massachusetts was arrested last week for eating a bowl of cereal while he was driving. Apparently, he had a .08 blood-alphabits level."

"The entire cast of the Cosby Show reunited this morning on the "Today Show". It was weird wasn't it? Seeing a successful sitcom back on NBC."

"Michelle Obama went to a ballet here in New York last night. I hear she saw Hillary Clinton's favorite ballet – The Nutcracker."

"I don't know if you've noticed all the sailors walking around the streets of New York. Today is the first day of Fleet Week, or as Clay Aiken calls it, hunting season."

"Both President Obama and Dick Cheney will give competing speeches tomorrow on national security and terrorism. It's kind of like American Idol – except one of them got voted off months ago."

"The Somali pirate on trial in Manhattan was indicted on ten charges of Piracy yesterday. His bail was set at a hundred Dabloons."

"At least four prisoners at Rikers Island have tested positive for the swine flu. Prison doctors are now telling inmates that, if they see their cell mate sneezing, DO NOT rape them."

"Michael Vick left prison today. He said it was terrible in there. It was like being locked in some sort-of kind of cage where everyone's fighting all day. There's nothing to compare it to."

"Did you guys see the shocking conclusion to tonight's American Idol finale? I'm talking about when Paula Abdul congratulated the winner and actually called him by his correct name."

"A man in Iowa was arrested for marijuana possession after police pulled him over and caught him trying to eat a bag of pot to get rid of the evidence. The cops said he almost got rid of it - but halfway through he switched to eating a bag of Fun-yuns."

"And finally, congratulations to 17-year-old Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson - who won Dancing with the Stars last night. Great news. This makes Shawn Johnson the youngest person ever to watch Dancing With The Stars."

"Did you guys see American Idol last night? Kris Allen won. It was a huge upset. It's hard to say exactly why Adam Lambert lost. Maybe it's his song choices, maybe it's his stage presence... maybe it's Maybelline."
"When Kris Allen won, he said, "I don't even know what to feel right now." Then Paula responded, "Don't worry – I can't feel any part of my body.""

"A lot of huge acts at the American Idol finale: Rod Stewart, Lionel Richie, Cyndi Lauper - so exciting. It was like watching the Grammy's… from 1985."

"The National Archives lost a hard drive with massive amounts of valuable data from the Clinton administration. It contained Bill Clinton's "To Do" list – 500 people long."

"A survey has found that 26% of people admit to texting while driving. The other 74% admitted to texting while being hit by a car."
"The most common text is, "OMG, I just hit some lady!""

"Krishna Pattabhi Jois, celebrity yoga guru, died this week at the age of 93. That's sad. But he did pass away comfortably, with his knees touching his back."

"According to a new poll, Dick Cheney's approval rating is up eight points since leaving office. Wow, I can't believe Cheney's approval rating is 8%."

"Michelle Obama is on the cover of TIME magazine this week. She says she has dinner with Barack and the kids every night. And then – oh it's so cute – Joe Biden jumps up and tries to lick the plates."

"In his new memoir, Larry King revealed that he has a son that he never knew about. All we know is that is name is Larry King, Jr. - and he's 95 years old."

"It's Memorial Day weekend – which marks the unofficial start of summer and the official start of fat dudes wearing shorts... I love this time of year: bbq's, pool parties, Hillary Clinton breaks out her bikini pant suits."

"Heroes star Hayden Panettiere's got a tattoo written in Italian, but it's misspelled. It's supposed to say "A life with no regrets" but it actually reads: "Still a the people a-don't wanna watch a show Heroes.""

"A man in Wyoming saved his dog's life by sucking venom from the dog's nose after it was bit by a rattlesnake. He said that he was happy to do it but that it took awhile to get the taste of "other dog's butt" out of his mouth."

"According to a report in Media Ink, PLAYBOY Enterprises is quietly being shopped around for $300 million. No matter who ends up buying the company it's expected they will say they bought it for the articles."

"The crew members of the International Space Station celebrated successfully turning their urine into drinking water. I don't know what they were so happy about, I know a guy in the subway whose been doing that for like 10 years."
