DO YOU HAVE THE NEXT GREAT MONEYMAKING BUSINESS OR IDEA? IF SO, APPLY TO ENTER THE "SHARK TANK," A NEW REALITY SERIES ON ABC-TV

New York, N.Y.,  June 1st, 2009.               The producers of the new ABC reality series "Shark Tank" are on a nationwide search to discover the next successful - and possibly wealthy - entrepreneurs, inventors, businesspersons, dreamers, promoters, creators and innovators. In each episode, budding entrepreneurs are given the unprecedented chance to make their business ideas come true. The show will premiere over the summer following the special 10th anniversary primetime return of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire."

If you feel you have a lucrative business idea but just can't seem to secure the financial backing to get it off the ground, then "Shark Tank" is just the show for you. Casting is looking for aspiring entrepreneurs who can pitch their breakthrough business concepts, products, properties and services to moguls in hopes of landing investment funds. If selected, five real-life, tough investors could be willing to part with their own hard-earned cash and give you the funding you need to jumpstart your idea. But the investors, also known as Sharks, aren't just out to invest; they too have a goal -- to own a piece of your next big idea.

There are two ways to apply for your chance to enter the "Shark Tank" and see if your idea survives:

* Email us at SharkTankCasting@yahoo.com. Be sure to include your name, age, contact info, a recent photo (no larger than 1 MB) and a brief description of your idea.

* You can also apply by attending one of our open calls. This is your opportunity to meet face to face with the "Shark Tank" casting teams. Download and complete the application at http://abc.go.com/primetime/sharktank/index?pn=casting&12, and bring it with you. Plan to arrive early. Be advised that security may check your bag and you are responsible for your own parking. We do not validate. For more information and terms and conditions go to abc.com.

COMEDIAN RENO COLLIER TO TRAVEL ROUTE 66 AS HOST OF NBC'S 'GREAT AMERICAN ROAD TRIP'

Universal City, Ca., May 28th, 2009.
NBC announced today that comedian Reno Collier will host "Great American Road Trip" -- the series, produced by BBC Worldwide Productions, where seven families from divergent backgrounds go on the journey of a lifetime (premiering Tuesday, July 7 (8-9 p.m. PT). Collier will guide viewers and the participating families on an eight-episode journey along America's legendary Route 66. Traveling through cities and towns large and small, the seven families, whose hometowns range from Montclair, California to Yonkers, New York, will compete in a series of challenges that will ultimately lead one family to victory. These comical and clever challenges are set against iconic American backdrops such as the majestic Grand Canyon and the historic St. Louis arch.

Along the way, the families and viewers will also discover quirky American landmarks ranging from the world's largest ketchup bottle to the muffler men and Cadillac Ranch. Although family fun is the centerpiece of the show, the competition is real and all but one family will be eliminated each week based on their performance in the challenges. Ultimately, the winning family will return home with a dream prize that perfectly complements their extraordinary and memorable summer vacation.

Viewers can access additional information about the families, their journey on Route 66 and the "Great American Road Trip" at www.nbc.com/the-great-american-road-trip.

"This show is a blast. I'm having the time of my life. We are checking out everything from the Grand Canyon and Wrigley Field to the world's biggest bottle of ketchup. Seriously, what's better than that -- I love ketchup" said Collier.

Collier's journey began at the Punchline Comedy Club in Atlanta, Georgia, where he tended bar to supplement his day job as a physical education teacher. In 2004 he joined Larry the Cable Guy on the hugely successful "2004 Tour of America." He has performed with the legendary Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall. In January 2007, he re-joined Larry the Cable Guy for his wildly successful arena tour currently spanning the United States and Canada. His television credits include his own "Comedy Central Presents" "Late Friday," "Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher," "The Martin Short Show," "The List" and "Premium Blend." In 2005 and 2006, he headlined the "Comics on Duty" tour for American troops stationed in Iraq. He is a regular fixture on the "Bob & Tom" syndicated radio show and Country Music Television (CMT), where he hosts various specials for the network. He has performed at the prestigious HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado and the Montreal Comedy Festival. He can currently be heard during his weekly call-ins to the Blue Collar Comedy Channel on Sirius Satellite Radio.

Lisa Hennessy serves as executive producer of "Great American Road Trip." The show is a new format developed by the BBC Worldwide teams in Los Angeles, New York and London.

The families participating include:

THE COOTE FAMILY FROM LOCKPORT, ILLINOIS:

Keith (Dad), Jennifer (Mom), Cassidy, 12 and Jake, 9

Keith and Jennifer began as high school sweethearts. Their relationship withstood Keith's time overseas in the U.S. Marines Corps. Keith currently supports his family with his own carpentry work. Jennifer does it all – working during the day, going to school at night, coaching volleyball on the weekends. The couple's mantra is "anything for the kids," including high-energy Jake who, whether playing baseball, watching TV, or sitting in a classroom, makes his presence known. Cassidy, the athletic, academic princess gets what she wants, whenever she wants it.

THE FAVEREY FAMILY FROM LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK:

Lenny (Dad), Dee (Mom), Dylan, 15 and Ashley, 10

Lenny and Dee have been married for 24 years. Lenny, a Manhattan doorman, has held the same job for over two decades. A stickler for routine, he is very particular about having everything in its place. Dee, a special education teacher's aide, runs a tight ship -- and uses push-ups and sit-ups as her main form of "justice." Their daughter, Ashley, is a committed student, but definitely has a taste for the finer things. Her brother, Dylan, is a laid back musician who is happy to let Ashley be the scholar. He is the peacekeeper, with his sense of humor as his first line of defense. This family has never been in an RV.

THE KATZENBERG FAMILY WESTPORT, CONNECTICUT:

Marc (Dad), Hyleri (Mom), Sami, 15 and Andrew, 14

Marc and Hyleri recently fell in love. Having just formed a "Brady Bunch" family unit, this show will give them a chance to really get to know each other. Hyleri's daughter Sami, and Marc's son Andrew, quickly bonded over accusing the other of being high maintenance. The truth is, they all have a little "diva" in them. However, Marc and Hyleri are also active philanthropists and instill this in their kids. Sami is a natural entertainer who makes her voice heard. Andrew is a ladies' man who enjoys flirting. Each member of the family likes to be the center of attention and adores themselves -- and each other.

THE MONTGOMERY FAMILY FROM MONTCLAIR, CALIFORNIA:

Darius (Dad), Alecia (Mom), Darius Ross, 15 and Tylier, 11

Darius and Alecia have been married for over 15 years. They are a religious, family-oriented couple. Darius is an ex-U.S. Marine who runs a tight unit. Alecia is a pre-school teacher who is extremely competitive and out to win at all times. The couple has two sons, Darius Jr., a strong student and natural athlete involved in programs at Montclair College and UCLA. Younger brother Tylier will be a match for Darius some day. He is also an athlete and in the gifted program at school. Tylier aspires to be a judge or attorney.

THE POLLARD FAMILY FROM NEWTON, ALABAMA:

Ron (Dad), Amie (Mom), Aaron, 17 and Anslie, 12

The Pollards are a close-knit Southern family. Ron and Amie met in high school. Through many years of hard work and sacrifice, they have built their dream home near the beach. Ron is a homebuilder who loves fishing and hunting. Amie, a gregarious radio host, wears the pants in the family. They have two kids, Aaron and Anslie. Aaron plays varsity football and baseball and is on the gymnastics team "to meet girls." Anslie is the apple of her mother's eye and has several beauty pageant crowns in her collection. As a family, the Pollards love to hunt, watch NASCAR and watch college football.

THE RICO FAMILY FROM KATY, TEXAS:

Ricardo (Dad), Erica (Mom), Danielle, 13, and Ricky, 8

Erica owns her own advertising business and is dictator of her family. Ricardo, a spiritual man and the peacekeeper of the family, is also in the advertising business. The kids, Danielle and Ricky, love to play soccer, baseball and say they never lose -- because their mom won't let them. Ricky is a prankster and he loves to do impersonations of people. He also loves to read. Danielle follows in her father's more relaxed footsteps, but she's got her mother's genes and isn't afraid to use them.

THE DiSALVATORE FAMILY FROM YONKERS, NEW YORK:

Silvio (Dad), Amy (Mom), Mason, 16 and Blake, 13

Silvio and Amy have been married for over 20 years. Silvio, a stay-at-home dad, rocks a distinct '80s look. He is the driving force behind the loud East Coast Italian-American family. Amy, a medical insurance administrator, is a classic Italian mom who will do anything for her boys. Mason, the diplomat, is the only "normal" member of the outrageous family. With aspirations of becoming a lawyer, Mason gets his fair share of practice settling family disputes. Blake is a Silvio-in-training who has never been unplugged from his video games for more than three days.

EARTH AND MOON ARE ON A COLLISION COURSE IN "IMPACT," STARRING DAVID JAMES ELLIOTT AND NATASHA HENSTRIDGE, JUNE 21 & 28 ON ABC

New York, N.Y.,  June 1st, 2009.               The most spectacular meteor shower in 10,000 years results in a direct hit to the moon, leaving it on a collision course with the Earth. A small group of international astronauts, scientists and soldiers band together in a race against time to save humanity, in the thrilling limited ABC series "Impact," airing SUNDAY, JUNE 21 and SUNDAY, JUNE 28 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET both nights), on the ABC Television Network.

David James Elliott ("Close to Home," "Jag") Natasha Henstridge ("Eli Stone," "Species"), Steven Culp ("Desperate Housewives," "ER") and Oscar and Emmy-nominated James Cromwell ("W," "L.A. Confidential," "Babe") are among the stars of the international cast.

The world watches as a large meteor shower streaks across the skies. Hidden in the meteor field is a brown dwarf , a dead star. It smashes into the moon in a tremendous explosion of rock and debris. Fragments of the moon itself penetrate Earth's atmosphere and make impact. Even though initial damage is minimal, nerves are frayed throughout the planet. Experts quickly conclude there will be no lasting ramifications. Then strange anomalies begin to manifest themselves on Earth. It starts small - cell phone disruptions, unusual static charges and odd tidal behavior. The world's leading scientists, including Alex Kittner (David James Elliott), Maddie Rhodes (Natasha Henstridge) and Roland Emerson (Benjamin Sandler), begin piecing together evidence that suggests that the moon and its orbit may have been permanently altered. Their fears are realized when the anomalies increase to the point where the effect of gravity is being manipulated by increased electromagnetic surges coming from the moon. People, cars and other objects are rendered momentarily weightless in random, isolated areas around the globe. Alex, Maddie, Roland and the rest of their team soon discover something far worse - the moon's new orbit has put it on a collision course with Earth!

The world now has 39 days to stop the moon or Earth, or all of mankind will perish. After a failed attempt by the United States to destroy the moon, the scientific team works together to mount an international mission to the moon. Alex, whose children and father-in-law (James Cromwell) have gone missing, is torn as he must join Roland on the mission to the moon. It's a race against time as the two celestial bodies are drawn closer and closer to impact.

The Cast: David James Elliott as Alex Kittner, Natasha Henstridge as Dr. Maddie Rhodes, Benjamin Sadler as Roland Emerson, Florentine Lahme as Martina Altmann, James Cromwell as Lloyd, Steven Culp as President Edward Taylor, Owen Best as Jake Kittner, Natasha Calis as Sadie Kittner, Yee Jee Tso as Jered O'Banno, Colin Cunningham as David Rhodes, Michael Kopsa as General Vaughn, Samantha Ferris as Renee Ferguson, Ron Lea as Tom Ranfield, Ben Ayres as Bob Pierce, Gerard Plunkett as Terence Young, Ty Olsson as Derek, Alex Zahara as Franz Henke, Kendall Cross as Courtney Batterton, Gideon Karmel as Sergei Pitinkov, Matthew Walker as Ian Wilson, Andre Hennicke as the pastor, Marina Dodlek as the waitress, Russell Roberts as Hal Boon, Terence Kelly as Hugh, Agam Darshi as Ella Barklow and Stephen Dimopoulos as Denny.

ABC NEWS ANNOUNCES DEPLOYMENT OF DOMESTIC DIGITAL REPORTERS

New York, N.Y.,  June 3rd, 2009.               ABC News today announced the expansion of its digital reporter corps with new assignments in Denver and Detroit and the addition of two digital reporters to the network's coverage of the Obama Administration and the economy. These domestic digital reporters join a team of seven that ABC News first deployed to foreign posts in 2007.

Clayton Sandell will be based in Denver, covering breaking news across the region as well as focusing on stories involving the environment, climate change and alternative energy. Tahman Bradley will be based in Detroit, covering Michigan and neighboring states, as well as the auto industry. Karen Travers rejoins ABC News' White House Team as a digital reporter and Matthew Jaffe is covering the Treasury Department, financial issues and the overall economy.

Using digital technologies, the reporters will contribute on- and off-air reporting to all ABC News' broadcasts and platforms, ABC News Radio and ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliate news service. They will also regularly file for ABC News' digital platforms, including ABCNEWS.com, ABC News NOW and ABC News' webcasts.

"Technology has given us the ability to expand and enrich our reporting from overseas, as our digital reporters have proven," said ABC News President David Westin. "Now we will bring that same technology to bear as we expand our domestic coverage."

Prior to moving to Denver, Clayton Sandell was a producer for "World News with Charles Gibson," covering stories encompassing politics, science and climate change, and reported on-air for ABC's affiliate service, NewsOne, "Focus Earth with Bob Woodruff" and the "World News" webcast.

Sandell, along with correspondent Bill Blakemore, recently returned from a trip onboard the U.S. Coast Guard icebreaker Healy in the Bering Sea, following scientists researching the effects of climate change in the Arctic region. In October 2007, he traveled with correspondent David Kerley to the cities of Beijing and Shenzhen, producing a special series - "Made in China" -- on toy recalls and food safety. Earlier that year he was in Greenland covering global warming stories for "World News with Charles Gibson," "Good Morning America" and ABCNEWS.com.

In April 2007, Sandell was part of the ABC News team that covered the tragic shooting massacre at Virginia Tech University. He has reported on the approach and aftermath of numerous hurricanes, including Hurricane Ike from Galveston Texas in 2008 and category-four Hurricane Wilma from Cancun Mexico in 2005. He was in Haiti in February 2004 during the violent uprisings that led to the ouster of President Jean Bertrand Aristide, and also covered the trials of the two men eventually convicted in the 2002 DC-area sniper murders.

Sandell graduated from the University of California Riverside with a degree in political science.

During the 2008 presidential election, Tahman Bradley distinguished himself as an integral part of the ABC News team covering the campaign. He took lead reporting duties for the Political Unit's coverage of campaign fundraising and political ads. Bradley also spent time on the campaign trail, filling in as an embedded reporter covering Barack Obama and Rudy Giuliani. He covered the vice presidential debate and the three presidential debates.

Bradley has appeared on-air for ABC News as a fill-in correspondent at NewsOne, ABC's affiliate news service, and on ABC News NOW. He also created and anchored a weekly show for ABCNEWS.com, "Sunday Sound."

Bradley first joined the Political Unit in Washington as a field producer, covering the 2006 midterm election. He was a co-author of "The Note" and reported on key U.S. House and Senate races. He was also part of the team producing the Politics Page for ABCNEWS.com. He began his career with ABC News as a Carnegie Fellow on special projects with ABC News' Investigative Unit in New York.

A native of Chicago, Bradley is a graduate of Howard University, where he studied journalism and political science.

This is Karen Travers' second stint on the White House beat, after covering President George W. Bush's second term.

Travers is a regular on-air contributor to ABC News NOW, and she files regularly for ABCNEWS.com. She most recently served as the deputy political director for ABC News' 2008 election coverage, reporting for all shows and platforms and taking the lead for the network's reporting on the Democratic and Republican delegate processes. In her role in the Political Unit, she covered key battleground states and reported from several presidential debates and both the Democratic and Republican conventions.

From December 2004--June 2007, prior to joining ABC News' Political Unit, Travers worked as a White House producer, traveling on all of President George W. Bush's domestic and foreign trips. At the White House, she was responsible for ABC News' editorial coverage and planning for White House events, speeches and breaking news. Before the White House assignment, Travers covered the Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign as a campaign reporter and was a researcher for Ted Koppel at "Nightline."

A native of Blue Bell, PA, Travers graduated in 2000 with a degree in American government from Georgetown University, where she served as editor in chief of The Hoya. She earned a master's degree in liberal studies from Georgetown in 2003. She joined ABC News in 2000.

Matthew Jaffe reports on economic issues from Washington, covering the Treasury Department, Federal Reserve, and other government agencies overseeing the financial sector.

Jaffe is a regular on-air contributor to ABC News NOW, including the morning program "Money Matters." He also files frequently for ABC News Radio and ABCNEWS.com.

Most recently, in the fall of 2008, he covered the vice presidential campaign of then-Sen. Joe Biden, D-DE, traveling around the country to report on the campaign for all ABC News platforms.

Since starting at ABC News in 2006, Jaffe has also worked as a general assignment off-air reporter, covering a wide range of stories including Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's impeachment scandal and the congressional investigation into steroid use in baseball.

A native of Haverford, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia, Jaffe graduated from Georgetown University with a bachelor's degree in Italian.

'THE JAY LENO SHOW' WILL PREMIERE ON SEPTEMBER 14

Burbank, Ca.,  June 2nd, 2009.               On the final episode of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” the host reminded viewers not to get too teary-eyed during his last stint behind the desk he has occupied for 17-years by reminding them that he would be back on NBC this fall with his new venture “The Jay Leno Show” (Monday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. ET on NBC). “The Jay Leno Show” will premiere on September 14.

During his final bow as the host of "The Tonight Show" Leno signed off saying, “Thank you for watching. Please give Conan (O’Brien) as much support as you've given me throughout the years. Good night. We'll see you in September.”

O’Brien begins his hosting “The Tonight Show” on Monday, June 1.

Leno, recently named America’s Favorite TV Personality by the 2009 Harris Poll, announced in December of 2008 that while he will be leaving “The Tonight Show” he will remain at NBC and embark on an adventure that marks a new era in television. “The Jay Leno Show” will be the first-ever entertainment program to be stripped across primetime on broadcast network television and will showcase many of the features that have made Leno America's late-night leader for more than a dozen years.
