CLOCK IS SET FOR THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED RETURN OF “24” SUNDAY, JANUARY 11, AND MONDAY, JANUARY 12, ON FOX

Los Angeles, Ca.,  November 3rd, 20008.          24, the Emmy Award-winning series starring Kiefer Sutherland, will premiere with a special two-night, four-hour event Sunday, Jan. 11 and Monday, Jan. 12 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The series, returning for its seventh season, celebrates its milestone 150th episode during the fourth hour of the not-to-be-missed two-night premiere.

Making its time period premiere Monday, Jan. 19 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), 24 will unfold without interruption through the season finale in May. Set in Washington, D.C., “Day Seven” opens with CTU dismantled and JACK BAUER (Kiefer Sutherland) on trial. Bauer’s day takes an unexpected turn when former colleague TONY ALMEIDA (Carlos Bernard) returns after being presumed dead. Meanwhile, President ALLISON TAYLOR (Cherry Jones) leads the country alongside White House Chief of Staff ETHAN KANIN (Bob Gunton) and First Gentleman HENRY TAYLOR (Colm Feore). An unthinkable national security crisis prompts an investigation by a team of FBI agents including Agent JANIS GOLD (Janeane Garofalo), Agent RENEE WALKER (Annie Wersching), Agent LARRY MOSS (Jeffrey Nordling), Agent SEAN HILLINGER (Rhys Coiro) and security specialist MICHAEL LATHAM (John Billingsley). Although CTU no longer exists, CHLOE O’BRIAN (Mary Lynn Rajskub) and BILL BUCHANAN (James Morrison) are back for another momentous day of shocking events.

Setting the stage for these events is 24: REDEMPTION, the two-hour television event shot on location in South Africa and Los Angeles that bridges the gap between Seasons Six and Seven. Airing Sunday, Nov. 23 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), 24: REDEMPTION finds Bauer working at a school in Africa where he is called upon to stop a ruthless warlord from drafting innocent children into his murderous militia. At home, it’s inauguration day for the President-elect, but a malevolent mastermind JONAS HODGES (Jon Voight) works behind the scenes to fan the flames of the growing international crisis. Visit the official 24: REDEMPTION website at fox.com/24/redemption for behind-the-scenes footage, news and photos.

Universal City, Ca., November 5th, 2008.
Miley Cyrus, David Archuleta and many more stars are set to perform on NBC's live broadcast of the "82nd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" from New York City. "Today" co-anchor Meredith Vieira co-hosts along with Matt Lauer and Al Roker kicking off the festivities with the parade's historic route beginning at 77th Street and Central Park West and winding down Broadway. The parade celebration will air on NBC from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in all time zones.

Celebrating the start of the holiday season will be performers from stage, screen, sports and music riding down Broadway atop one of the parade's moving stages. The stars joining the line-up include Trace Adkins, David Archuleta, Charice, The Cheetah Girls, Kristen Chenoweth, Clique Girlz, Miley Cyrus, Grandma and the Big Apple Circus, the cast of the Broadway Musical Hair, Harajuku Girls, Kermit the Frog, Lang Lang and the cast and Muppets of Sesame Street, Miss U.S.A. 2008 - Crystle Stewart, Idina Menzel, PushPlay, Darius Rucker, James Taylor, Uno the 2008 Westminster Dog Show Champion, Varsity Fanclub and Andy Williams.

The parade will feature many eye-catching floats and balloons and will offer many new additions, classic characters from children's books, movies and television shows, a Who's Who of popular culture icons. Joining the line-up of giant character helium balloons this year will be the Elephant "who meant what he said" the ever-faithful Horton, the super smurftastic Smurf and the infinity seeking Buzz Lightyear.

Also making its debut is a tribute to the beloved artist Keith Haring (who would have turned 50 this year), working in partnership with the Keith Haring Foundation, Macy's Parade Studio reconceived one of Haring's paper drawings, Figure with Heart, 1987, as a Giant Balloon. The balloon is a three-dimensional rendering of Haring's drawing that will appear flat against the backdrop of the sky as it might have appeared on the subway walls once favored by the artist. Haring's Figure with Heart is the latest entrant to the Blue Sky Gallery series. Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade began the Blue Sky Gallery series in 2005 when parade officials invited artist Tom Otterness to create a balloon version of one of his classic pieces of Humpty Dumpty. Aiming to inject contemporary art into a pop culture phenomenon, the Blue Sky Gallery series continued in 2007 with the debut of "Rabbit" by Jeff Koons.

Star power continues to march on Thanksgiving morning with performances from some of the hottest Broadway shows including 'In the Heights', 'Disney's The Little Mermaid', 'Irving Berlin's White Christmas', and more. In addition, the world-famous Radio City Rockettes will kick it up a notch welcoming the parade in style.

The 82nd trip down Broadway will also feature over 1,700 cheerleaders, dancers, singers and performers; 900 clowns; 13 giant character helium balloons; 35 novelty/ornament balloons, balloonheads and balloonicles; 10 marching bands; 28 floats; and a host of celebrity performers. Over 10,000 participants including America's best marching bands, celebrities, campy clowns, the parade's signature giant character helium balloons, fantasy floats, and the one-and-only Santa Claus; will once again convene on the Upper West Side to bring the magic of the season to life for New York and the nation.

Returning parade favorites, stars of children's television, video games, comic strips and feature films, complete the line-up of 13 giant balloons this year. Joining the three new giant characters will be Abby Cadabby, Beethoven, Dora the Explorer, Flying Ace Snoopy, Kermit the Frog, Pikachu, Ronald McDonald, Shrek, SpongeBob SquarePants and Supercute Hello Kitty. In addition to the giant characters balloons, the parade also boasts 35 novelty/ornament balloons and balloonicles giving the sky backdrop a tiered spectrum.

Magical scenes come to life on the moving stages that create a fantasy down Broadway. From an unexpected cross country journey to the lights of Tokyo subculture the newest floats in the Macy's Parade line-up take spectators on voyages through the imagination. This year's inaugural fleet include the cross-country journey of Bolt, Princess fantasies at the Castle of Dreams, the lights of Tokyo subculture on Harajuku Lovers, a representation of the creation story on the True Spirit of Thanksgiving, bright bold optimism of the Shine On float, the smurftastic world of The Smurfs, the wonder of believing on Winter Wonderland, and the joy shared during a Woodland Family Gathering.

In addition to the eight new stages, 20 floats will make a return appearance on Broadway this Thanksgiving. The returning float line-up includes 123 Sesame Street, Big Apple, Bridge To The Future, The Care Bears Winter Fun-derland, Cele-bear-ate Hugs Worldwide, Expedition to the Top of Rhino Mountain, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Jolly Polly Pirate Ship, M&M's Chocolate Candies on Broadway, Marion-Carol Showboat, Musical Innovation Bigger Than Life, New York Tin Toy, Pep Squad, Santaland Express, Santa's Sleigh, Snoopy's Doghouse, Spirit of America, Spirit of Liberty, Starship Discovery and Tom Turkey.

The beat is back on Broadway as 10 of America's best marching bands hit the pavement. The musical heartbeat of the parade, the marching bands representing their home states and the nation in this year's parade includes The James Bowie High School from Austin, Texas; Copiague High School from Copiague, New York; Fayetteville High School from Fayetteville, Arkansas; Georgia Institute of Technology from Atlanta, Georgia; The Greater St. Petersburg Area Awesome Original Second Time Arounders from St. Petersburg, Florida; Macy's Great American Marching Band with representatives from every state and the District of Columbia; James Madison University from Harrisonburg, Virginia; Nogales High School from La Puente, California; Sioux Falls Lincoln High School from Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and West Johnston High School from Benson, North Carolina.

Broadcast on NBC since 1948, the parade has been transformed by television into a national tradition.

EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS TYRA BANKS AND ASHTON KUTCHER ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TRULY BEAUTIFUL, FROM THE OUTSIDE IN, ON "TRUE BEAUTY," A NEW SERIES PREMIERING MONDAY, JANUARY 5, 2009 ON ABC

New York, N.Y., November 5th, 2008.          Hosted and judged by Vanessa Minnillo (former host of "TRL" and "ET"), along with judges Cheryl Tiegs (America's first supermodel, currently designer and author) and Nolι Marin ("America's Next Top Model" and fashion expert for E!, TV Guide, "The Tyra Banks Show"), the series will determine the "True Beauty" of six stunning females and four handsome males who will live together in a spectacular Los Angeles mansion as they undergo a series of challenges to determine who is truly the most beautiful.

The gorgeous contestants assume they're being judged solely on their outer appearance. They're only half right; outer beauty is one component the judges are looking for, but contestants are also being evaluated -- unbeknownst to them -- for their INNER beauty as well when they're put through scenarios and situations that require them to make moral decisions.

Each episode will showcase an outer beauty and an inner beauty challenge, during which contestants will be judged on everything from how well they perform in photo shoots to how well they respect their elders. The three judges will observe and critique the contestants' behavior and eliminate one person each week. Only after someone is eliminated will the truth about the show be revealed to him/her, as they watch a video montage of their behavior captured by a hidden camera during the shoot.

At the end of eight episodes, one winner will be declared, a person who is truly beautiful inside and out. That person will receive a cash prize and a spot in PEOPLE magazine's 100 Most Beautiful People issue.

QUOTABLES FROM 'SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE'S WEEKEND UPDATE WITH SETH MEYERS'

NOVEMBER 1, 2008

MEYERS – "As the presidential campaign draws to a close, John McCain's campaign rallies have featured frequent appearances by Joe the Plumber. While Obama's campaign is sticking with its mascot, (PIC OF SEN. JOE BIDEN) 'Joe the Bummer.'"

MEYERS – "At a campaign rally on Thursday, Senator McCain called Joe the Plumber and called him up to the stage, only to learn then that he was not at the rally. In fairness to Joe the Plumber, he said he'd be there sometime between noon and 6 pm."

MEYERS – "On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Phillies won the World Series in 5 games, defeating the Tampa Bay Rays in Major League Baseball's annual contest to determine whose city will be set on fire by drunks."

MEYERS – "Archaeologists in Israel digging at a site where David is believed to have slain Goliath have discovered a shard of pottery with writing that may give credence to the story. So catch the whole story on the next episode of 'C.S.Oy.'"

MEYERS – "While speaking at a campaign rally is western Pennsylvania, which is Pittsburgh Pirates territory, Sarah Palin was booed when she said that she was 'thrilled to be here in the home state of the world champion Philadelphia Phillies.' Though in fairness to Palin, she's not used to states with more than one city."

MEYERS – "Phil Spector's retrial in the murder of actress Lana Clarkson began on Wednesday. Spector plead not guilty, while his hair has pleaded insanity."

MEYERS – "A new line of Italian wines based on the HBO hit series the Sopranos will be launched in the U.S. this fall. Also in the works, 'Entourage' brand douche bags."

MEYERS – "A North Dakota man whose name was drawn from a hat pressed a button and demolished an historic bridge over the Missouri River this week. Unfortunately, the button was supposed to simply light up a sign saying 'Welcome to North Dakota.'"

MEYERS – "This Sunday Daylight Savings Time ends. John McCain quickly it as a redistribution of sunlight."

MEYERS – "A plumber in Long Island, whose marriage fell apart after he admitted to his wife that he was gay, admitted to police that he laced her coffee with cyanide because he could not bear to see her with anyone else. Which begs the question, are there any plumbers left who just unclog drains?"

MEYERS – "Gerard Damiano, the director of the pioneering porno film 'Deep Throat,' died this week at the age of 80. 'Deep Throat' of course is remembered above all else for being well directed. Per his request, Damiano will be buried a couple of inches deeper than everybody else."

QUOTABLES FROM NBC'S 'LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O'BRIEN'

"According to a new poll, if the election were held today, right now more Americans would vote for Barack Obama than John McCain. Polls also show that if the election were held today everyone would be thrilled the damn thing is over."

"Political experts say that John McCain's only chance of winning the election next week is to attract swing voters. Unfortunately, McCain thinks swing voters are people who listen to Glenn Miller."

"This week Angelina Jolie took a trip to Afghanistan. Apparently Jolie misunderstood when Brad Pitt said he wanted an Afghan for Christmas."

"This weekend in Mexico, the world's fattest man married his longtime girlfriend. Apparently at the reception, he fed her a piece of cake – and she fed him a small goat."

"CNN reported just a few hours ago, that the polls in Pennsylvania show little movement for John McCain. At this point the only way for McCain to show movement involves eating a bowl of raisin bran."
