(Thursday, November 29th - Editor)          ABC has announced a full season order for the serial drama Dirty, Sexy Money. The one hour series follows the antics of the Darling family, the richest family in New York city, and the lawyer they employ to keep their ultra-rich family out of the clutches of money-grabbing low-lifes of the world and to protect them from the world at large and themselves. The series star Peter Krause (Six Feet Under) as lawyer Nick George, who like his father before him is assigned to keep the business affairs of the family in order and their personal affairs out of the headlines. The series airs Wednesdays.

          Over at NBC they are beating the odds by batting 500 on series debuts this season. Chuck and Life, two of the four series that debuted on the network this season, have been given the green light for nine additional episodes each, or for the balance of the television season following the conclusion of the strike between The Motion Picture & Television Producer's Association of America and The Writer's Guild Of America. The Bionic Woman and Journeyman are the only remaining rookie series on the network that have not been picked up for the entire season.

          Ben Silverman, Co-Chairman, NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios made the announcement in Burbank, Ca. on Monday, November 26th. While addressing the press, Silverman added that "'Chuck' and 'Life' stand out in a crowded TV landscape because they are smart, well-produced series with incredibly talented casts. Both shows are hitting their stride creatively, have developed loyal audiences and offer unlimited potential to grow throughout the season."

          CBS News has announced they are in negotiations with The Early Show Co-Host Hannah Storm to expand her role with the news division of the network. Storm is in discussions with Sean McManus, President of CBS News & Sports to determine her new role with the network. In making the announcement Storm expressed her satisfaction with the network and optimism about her future at The Tiffany Network in a new capacity.

          "I have loved every minute of my 5 years at The Early Show, where I have teamed up with some of the best in the business. I am proud of my work at CBS News. We are in discussions regarding my future opportunities across CBS."

          NBC has also announced the premiere date for the mid-season comedic drama Lipstick Jungle. The series starring Brooke Shields (Suddenly Susan), Kim Raver (24) and Lindsay Price (Beverly Hills 90210) will debut Thursday, February 7th. Based on the best-selling novel by Candace Bushnell (Sex & The City) the series will follow three high-powered friends as they weather the ups and downs of lives lived at the top of their game. Nico (Raver), editor-in-chief of a hot fashion magazine, has her eye on becoming CEO. Movie exec Wendy (Shields) does everything she can to balance career and family. And free-spirited designer Victory (Price) longs to make her dreams come true, and maybe find Mr. Right along the way. Armed with humor and strength, these three modern New York women support one another through the triumphs and tears that are all part of making it big in the Big Apple.

          Donald J. Trump, NBC Universal and Paula M. Shugart, President, Miss Universe Organization, announced November 27th in Burbank, Ca. that the 57th Annual Miss Universe Competition will air live from Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, Vietnam. The glamorous live event, featuring some of the world's most beautiful women, will air from the Crown Convention Center, and will air on NBC and Telemundo this summer.

          "Vietnam has shown unprecedented growth in recent years, both in the business and tourism sectors," said Paula M. Shugart. "This worldwide telecast will mark the first event of its kind to be centered in Vietnam which of course will have special significance to the U.S. audience. I am very happy to have the Miss Universe Pageant be the catalyst for such an historic event."
          "UniCorp is delighted that we have reached an agreement with the Miss Universe Organization to host the Miss Universe 2008 Pageant in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, Vietnam," says Chairman Tony Toan Nguyen. "We believe that the beauty, culture and hospitality of Vietnam will perfectly complement the pageant. We look forward to showing the contestants and the world our exciting, vibrant and picturesque country."
 
          Each contestant from more than 80 countries around the world will be judged in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview as they vie for the coveted title of Miss Universe 2008. In recent years, worldwide distribution of the popular competition has topped more than 170 countries. Japan native, Riyo Mori, Miss Universe 2007 will crown her successor at the conclusion of the telecast. During her reign, she has traveled the world as an advocate for HIV/AIDS education, research, and legislation. The newly crowned Miss Universe will go on to do the same.
