MANDY PATINKIN TO GUEST STAR ON "THREE RIVERS"

New York, N.Y., October 14th, 2009.               Emmy and Tony Award winner, and real-life double corneal transplant recipient Mandy Patinkin ("Criminal Minds") will guest star on an upcoming episode of the medical drama Three Rivers.

Patinkin plays Victor, an ALS patient who asks to be to taken off of life support following a car crash, so that his organs can be used to save others.

Patinkin has a very personal connection with organ donation, in 1997 and 1998, he received corneal transplants in his right and left eyes to correct the condition of keratoconus, an eye disease that creates a "cone-shaped" cornea which impairs vision severely. Patinkin's corneas were donated by the families of a 13 year-old girl (right eye) and a 12 year-old boy (left eye).

Patinkin won an Emmy Award for his portrayal of Dr. Jeffrey Geiger in the series "Chicago Hope," on the Network.  His other television credits include the series "Dead Like Me," "Law & Order," "Boston Public" and, on the Network, "Criminal Minds" and "Touched by an Angel." His feature film credits include "The Choking Man," "Pinero," "The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland," "Lulu on the Bridge," "Men with Guns," "Squanto: Indian Warrior," "The Music of Chance," "Impromptu," "The Doctor," "True Colors," "Dick Tracy," "The House on Carroll Street," "Alien Nation," "The Princess Bride," "Maxie," "Yentl", "Daniel" and "Ragtime".

Patinkin won a Tony Award for his portrayal of Che in the Broadway production of "Evita."  He was also nominated for Tony Awards for the title role of "Sunday in the Park with George" and for "The Wild Party."  His other theater credits include "The Secret Garden," "Falsettos," "The Knife," " 'Leave It To Beaver' is Dead" and "The Shadow Box." As a singer, he has recorded several albums and tours extensively throughout the world.

ABC ANNOUNCES FULL SEASON PICK-UPS OF NEW SERIES "COUGAR TOWN", "FLASHFORWARD", "THE MIDDLE" AND "MODERN FAMILY"

New York, N.Y., October 12th, 2009.               The ABC Television Network announced full season pick-up orders for new drama "FlashForward" and comedies "Cougar Town", "The Middle" and "Modern Family".

What would you do if you were given a glimpse of the future? Would you accept what you saw and live life to its fullest, or would you do everything in your power to change your destiny? When the world's population is given a glimpse of their future, it forces everyone to come to grips with whether their destinies can be fulfilled or avoided, in ABC's drama, "FlashForward."

Knowing their fate will alter each person's life in one way or another, and poses the questions: Can destiny be changed? And by changing just one destiny, what effect would that have on those of others?

"FlashForward" stars Joseph Fiennes as Mark Benford, John Cho as Demetri Noh, Jack Davenport as Lloyd Simcoe, Zachary Knighton as Bryce Varley, Peyton List as Nicole Kirby, Dominic Monaghan as Simon, Br’an F. O'Byrne as Aaron Stark, Courtney B. Vance as Stanford Wedeck, Sonya Walger as Olivia Benford and Christine Woods as Janis Hawk.

In Cougar Town, Courteney Cox stars as Jules, a recently divorced single mother exploring the honest truths about dating and aging in our beauty and youth obsessed culture. While most women in their twenties go through life experiencing the challenges and often humorous pitfalls of meeting men, Jules took on the responsibilities of marriage and raising a son. Now in her forties, she embarks on a journey to self-discovery whilst surrounded by fellow divorcees and singletons eager to live or re-live a time gone by.

"Cougar Town" stars Courteney Cox as Jules, Christa Miller as Ellie, Busy Philipps as Laurie, Dan Byrd as Travis, Josh Hopkins as Grayson, Ian Gomez as Andy and Brian Van Holt as Bobby.

Emmy-winner Patricia Heaton stars in "The Middle", a warm and witty single-camera comedy about raising a family and lowering your expectations.

Frankie Heck is a superhero. Well, no, not an actual superhero - not unless you count getting her kids out the door for school every morning as a superfeat. Middle-aged, middle class and living in the middle of the country, this harried wife and working mother of three uses her wry wit and sense of humor to try to get her family through each day intact. Frankie has a job selling cars at the town's only surviving car dealer; her husband, Mike, is a manager at the local quarry.

"The Middle" stars Patricia Heaton as Frankie, Neil Flynn as Mike, Charlie McDermott as Axl, Eden Sher as Sue, Atticus Shaffer as Brick and Chris Kattan as Bob.

Today's American families come in all shapes and sizes. The cookie cutter mold of man + wife + 2.5 kids is a thing of the past, as it becomes quickly apparent in the bird's eye view of ABC's new half-hour comedy, "Modern Family," which takes an honest and often hilarious look at the composition and complexity of family life in 2009.

"Modern Family" stars Ed O'Neill as Jay, Julie Bowen as Claire, Ty Burrell as Phil, Sof’a Vergara as Gloria, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron, Sarah Hyland as Haley, Nolan Gould as Luke, Ariel Winter as Alex and Rico Rodriguez as Manny.

MICROSOFT AND FOX ONE TO COLLABORATE ON EXCLUSIVE WINDOWS 7 BRAND SPONSORSHIP OF “FAMILY GUY"

Los Angeles, Ca., October 13th, 2009.                Today, Microsoft Corp. and FOX One announced an ambitious, unique marketing collaboration that will showcase the best of Windows 7, the newest version of Microsoft’s operating system that will be available in market on Oct. 22. The cornerstone of the effort is the exclusive Windows 7 sponsorship of an upcoming television event devoted to the comedy of Seth MacFarlane, creator of FAMILY GUY, AMERICAN DAD and THE CLEVELAND SHOW.

Taking the idea of “commercial-free” to the next level, the original FOX variety special FAMILY GUY PRESENTS: SETH & ALEX’S ALMOST LIVE COMEDY SHOW (working title), airing Sunday, Nov. 8 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) and starring MacFarlane and his FAMILY GUY co-star Alex Borstein, will deliver simplicity for viewers – no commercial ad time, no network promotions and no commercial breaks – and instead will feature unique Windows 7-branded programming that blends seamlessly with show content. In a network first, MacFarlane and Borstein have teamed with Windows and their agencies, Universal McCann and Crispin, Porter + Bogusky, to develop, write and produce the customized branded integrations that seek to bring the old “Texaco Star Theater”-style sponsorships into the 21st century. The half-hour special will highlight the comedy duo’s subversive and unique humor with original animation, live-action performances of FAMILY GUY’s most memorable musical numbers, comedy sketches and surprise celebrity guests. That night, FOX turns the reins over to MacFarlane for an all-MacFarlane lineup as he also hosts all-new episodes of AMERICAN DAD (7:30-8:00 PM ET/PT), FAMILY GUY (8:00-8:30 and 9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) and THE CLEVELAND SHOW (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT).

While the way people watch TV has evolved, their desire to be entertained, and marketers’ need to deliver compelling content, hasn’t changed. Microsoft and FOX are joining forces to showcase how the power and simplicity of Windows 7 can enhance the content FOX viewers enjoy most, whether it’s comedy, drama, sports or reality programming on TV or on the web.

”We’re working with FOX on innovative brand integrations that will show how the power and simplicity of Windows 7 can enhance the content FOX viewers love” said Gayle Troberman, general manager of consumer engagement and advertising at Microsoft.  “We have simplified the PC with Windows 7, and together with FOX, we’re simplifying entertainment.”

“We’re thrilled to be joining forces with Windows 7 on such an exciting, highly collaborative marketing campaign featuring the very unique talents of Seth MacFarlane as he overhauls the old Hollywood tradition of the sponsored variety show by marrying Windows 7 messaging with content,” said Jean Rossi, President of FOX One and Executive Vice President of Sales for FOX. “By partnering with 20th Century Fox Television, Fox Licensing and Merchandising, FOX Sports, FX, FOXSports.com on MSN and Hulu, we have developed a complementary initiative that goes well beyond the screen with customized assets that connect consumers with Windows 7.”

In addition to sponsorship of the variety show special, Microsoft and Fox Licensing and Merchandising are working together to reach more than 4.3 million college students in-person on campuses across the country. The joint 12-week college tour gives students the chance to try Windows 7 for themselves and enjoy customized entertainment created by Fox Licensing and Merchandising such as outdoor movie nights hosted by FAMILY GUY’s Stewie and Brian, online videos and other customized FAMILY GUY content.

"A DOG NAMED CHRISTMAS," A NEW "HALLMARK HALL OF FAME" PRESENTATION STARRING BRUCE GREENWOOD, LINDA EMOND AND NOEL FISHER, TO BE BROADCAST SUNDAY, NOV. 29 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

Los Angeles, Ca., October 08th, 2009.               A DOG NAMED CHRISTMAS, a new "Hallmark Hall of Fame" presentation starring Bruce Greenwood (the newest "Star Trek" movie and "Thirteen Days"), Tony Award nominee Linda Emond ("Life x 3," "Julie & Julia") and Noel Fisher ("The Riches," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit") will be broadcast Sunday, Nov. 29 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.   The movie tells the tale of a developmentally challenged young man with a penchant for caring for animals in need, who sets out to convince his family - and their whole rural community - to participate in a local shelter's inaugural "Adopt a Dog for Christmas Program."

Todd McCray (Fisher), a responsible and developmentally challenged 20 year old, lives on a farm in Kansas with his loving parents, George (Greenwood) and Mary Ann (Emond).  Both Mary Ann and George are forever inspired and impressed by the upbeat Todd, who assists with numerous chores on the farm and is known for regularly rescuing and nursing wounded wild animals back to health.  George often describes Todd as having "his own way of thinking about things." However, Todd's way of thinking clashes with George's when a radio promotion for the local animal shelter's first-ever "Adopt a Dog for Christmas Program" - which entails caring for a dog during Christmas week and the option of keeping the dog for good - creates a keen desire in Todd to adopt a lonely pup for the holiday.

Though George stubbornly opposes the idea, Todd's special gifts of persuasion result in their bringing home a yellow Labrador, whom Todd names "Christmas" and bonds with immediately.  Todd soon makes it his mission to ensure that all of the shelter's numerous caged dogs are brought into friendly homes for the holiday, and he uses creative and persistent means of inspiring the families in his community to do their part.

JAKE PAVELKA GETS A SECOND CHANCE AT LOVE IN “THE BACHELOR: ON THE WINGS OF LOVE,” WHEN IT RETURNS IN JANUARY 2010

New York, N.Y., October 14th, 2009.               Jake Pavelka is out to prove on the next season of “The Bachelor” that nice guys don’t always finish last in love. The handsome commercial pilot from Dallas -- and America’s most hopeful romantic -- will star in his own bid for true love, choosing from among 25 bachelorettes, when “The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love” premieres on ABC in January 2010. This will be the 14th edition of ABC’s hit romance reality series. The identity of the new Bachelor was revealed on last night’s “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show.”

Ever since Jake, 31, shared a magical one-on-one date with Bachelorette Jillian Harris to see Martina McBride, millions of women have had their “Top Gun” fantasies about him. A fan favorite for his reputation as an honest guy with an open heart – not to mention his good looks -- viewers were stunned when Jillian rejected Jake right before the hometown dates on last season’s “The Bachelorette.” But women were drawn to him even more when Jake returned of his own accord in the next episode to protect Jillian from men who were not there for the right reasons. Jake – who already knew Jillian would not take him back -- freely shared and showed his emotions, and that’s when the requests for Jake to be the next Bachelor started to pour in.

Jake’s fairytale-like experience falling for Jillian made him confident that he can find the love of his life on “The Bachelor.” Now, it’s his time. Jake knows himself well enough to know that he’s not made to live alone. He just needs to find the right woman -- his best friend and soul mate – and that’s whom he’ll marry. Searching for a woman who is intelligent, confident, energetic and spontaneous, he admits that he can’t wait for fatherhood.

Fortunate to discover his passion at a young age, Jake started taking flying lessons at age 12. An accomplished pilot, he became an airline captain flight instructor at 23. On his days off, he has fun flying acrobatic planes, taking dance lessons and woodworking at the home he owns near Dallas. His parents have had a long and happy marriage, and it seems to run in the family, as Jake also has two happily married brothers – older brother Jason and younger brother Matt – and two nieces.

Jake grew up in Denton, Texas and attended University of North Texas and Embry Engineering University for Aerospace Science.

Boston, Ms & Universal City, Ca., October. 12th, 2009.               NBC and Liberty Mutual, the fifth largest property and casualty insurer in the U.S., recently asked several of the network’s stars to answer the question – "What does personal responsibility mean to you?"  Their answers will be shared via a series of one-minute film shorts and vignettes that will air during NBC's primetime programming from Monday, October 12 through Friday, October 16. Participating actors from the popular NBC primetime lineup include Anthony Anderson ("Law & Order"), Connie Britton ("Friday Night Lights"), Zachary Levi ("Chuck"), Emmy nominee Jack McBrayer ("30 Rock") and Milo Ventimiglia ("Heroes") who each directed one of the five film shorts that address personal responsibility and the decisions that confront people trying to "do the right thing."

The one-minute film short series is the result of a collaboration between NBC and Liberty Mutual, which is sponsoring the vignettes as part of its Responsibility Project, an initiative focused on sparking conversations about the meaning of personal responsibility using unique and entertaining content.

"We are excited about this project because it is innovative and has positive benefits in so many directions," said Barbara Blangiardi, senior vice president, Creative Partnerships & Innovation, NBC.  "It's not only another chance to work with Liberty Mutual, but it gives some of our talent a new avenue to express themselves creatively and add thought-provoking content to our air."

This collaboration with NBC, which was developed and implemented by Boston-based advertising agency, Hill Holliday, is the latest addition to Liberty Mutual’s Responsibility Project. According to Hill Holliday’s CEO Mike Sheehan, "This partnership between Liberty Mutual and NBC is just one example of how Liberty Mutual is leading innovation in consumer engagement.  We’re extremely proud to work with a partner like Liberty Mutual, which is at the forefront of new strategies to reach and create an emotional connection with their current and future customers.” Hill Holliday also developed Liberty Mutual’s Responsibility Project, which uses independently produced short films, blogs, advertising and television programming as catalysts for examining the decisions that confront people trying to “do the right thing.”  The concept for the Responsibility Project is the evolution of the Liberty Mutual ad campaign featuring the tagline, “Responsibility.  What’s your policy?”  Launched in 2006 to promote Liberty Mutual's approach to its business and customers, these ads showcased personal acts of responsibility and daily examples of ordinary people making the decision to do considerate things for strangers.  In 2009, the Responsibility Project has been supported by a national advertisement campaign that follows the lives of a “typical” American family, the Marlowes, and how they confront decisions of personal responsibility and what it means to “do the right thing.”

In other premature awards this week, high school football player Billy Reynolds has been named this year's Heisman Trophy winner, 5th grader Amber Collins has been named Miss America, and 9 year-old Dylan Holt has been named People's 'Sexiest Man Alive.'"

MEYERS - "Republican Committee Chairman Michael Steele criticized President Obama's Nobel Peace Prize win, asking, "What has President Obama actually accomplished?" Well, for starters Michael Steele, if it weren't for Obama you wouldn't have your job."

MEYERS - "President Obama reacted to his Nobel Peace Prize win saying, "I accept this award as a call to action." That's great, but just as a reminder, that's what the election was too."

MEYERS - "The Swiss Justice Ministry on Tuesday rejected Roman Polanski's plea to be released from custody expressing fear that he might flee the country. Now my fear is will a Swiss jail hold him?"

MEYERS - "The November issue of Playboy magazine will feature Marge Simpson on the cover. So I guess we'll finally find out if the beehive matches the carpet."

MEYERS - "It was announced Friday that golf and rugby will be added to the Olympic Games in 2016. Though to save time they will be combined into one sport."

MEYERS - "The federal government has launched a plan to use stimulus money to build playgrounds nationwide. "Yay," said a 40 year old man with no children who then quickly asked, 'who said yay?'"

MEYERS - "It was announced that Rush Limbaugh will be a judge for the 2010 Miss America pageant. This is an early boost to miss Connecticut, whose talent is filling out illegal prescriptions."

MEYERS - "Conservative lawmakers in Egypt have called for a ban on imports of a kit meant to help women fake their virginity on their wedding night. The kit consists of a back brace and a Battlestar Galactica nightie."

MEYERS - "A woman in Pennsylvania was arrested for putting a forged 50 dollar check in a church offering plate and for stealing a woman's wallet from a pew. But you know what? A lot of people don't even go to church."

MEYERS - "A man in Detroit was sentenced to two years in prison for stealing a woman's car after skipping out on the check on their first date. I don't know what's sadder, the fact that he did that, or the fact that she's still counting it as a date."

"Catholic churches throughout New York City are no longer offering wine at communion to help prevent the spread of swine flu. I like that it took swine flu for people to realize that sharing a cup with hundreds of other New Yorkers is a health risk."
"Not only will the churches stop offering wine - but now the communion wafer is available in a nasal spray."

"Congratulations to Brett Favre, by the way, who beat his old team on Monday night to become the first quarterback in NFL history to beat all 32 teams. And to my cousin Joey who says he did the same thing on Madden 09'…. for the last time, you're NOT in the NFL. You clean pools, ok?"
"Next Favre is concentrating on his next goal: retiring from all 32 teams."

"Speaking of NASA… Have you guys heard about this asteroid that could strike the earth in 2036? NASA just downgraded the threat of collision to 1-in-250,000."

"A new study from the University of Sheffield found taking the pill for the past 40 years has made women prefer guys with "boyish looks" instead of hunky, masculine types. So - to that I'd like to say to whoever invented the pill - thank you! (That's a Win - Win for me)"

"And finally, a school teacher in Tennessee was arrested after she got caught stealing her students' lunch money. That is just awful. What happened to the good ol' days when teachers just had sex with their students?"

"Congratulations to President Obama, who won the Nobel Peace Prize this morning. That's quite an accomplishment - the Nobel Peace Prize. Really impressive. I'm sure he'll pick it up as soon as he's finished fighting two wars."
"… yeah, he's not only in the middle of two wars, apparently he's trying to start another one with the moon."

"Did you watch the NASA crash? They crashed a rocket into the moon this morning. The crash was pretty disappointing, but afterwards the rocket and the moon exchanged insurance information."
"And the "moon crash" was broadcast on NASA TV. Afterwards, they returned to their regular programming - nothing."

"Along with the Nobel Peace Prize President Obama also gets $1.4 million dollars. Usually to get a check that big - you need to blackmail David Letterman."

"The White House admitted that they made a mistake by not inviting women to play in President Obama's basketball game last night. Although it would have made "shirts vs. skins" a little awkward."
"The women really wanted to play. Nancy Pelosi had her game face on… of course, when does she not have her game face on?"

"The Ice Skating Rink here at Rockefeller Center opens this weekend, you guys! Interesting fact: it holds 150 people at a time… or roughly 30 Americans…. or 10 Kirstie Alleys… or 2 Kevin Federlines."

"Mattel just introduced a new line of "Black Barbie dolls" - they have fuller lips, a wider nose, and more pronounced cheekbones. I wonder what they're gonna add to the Black Ken Doll. Probably a watch."

"I couldn't believe this-in their new Christmas catalog, Neiman Marcus is selling an actual car that looks like a cupcake - and costs 25,000 dollars. It's the perfect holiday gift for people who love to taunt the homeless."
"The car is called the Chrysler Diabetes."

"And finally, the New York Yankees host the Minnesota Twins tonight at the new Yankee Stadium - for Game Two of their Playoffs. Usually when a Yankee hosts twins - it takes place at A-Rods' apartment."
